Question: Why does the offense wear down the defense?

Because defense is more demanding physically. Pass blocking is a lot less exhausting than pass rushing. And like others said....offense knows where they're going. Offense is executing. Defense has to react and overcome the offense's execution.

Question: Can anyone recap Dallas Jackson on Rivals Radio last week?

I caught a portion of a Dallas Jackson segment on Rivals Radio last week where he was ranking the states for recruits. I think I heard Texas was #1 with 390 kids getting D1 scholarships and Florida was #2 with like 317. Did anybody hear that segment? I'd like to know how the states...

Question: Is there a list of Bama players in the NFL?

Does anybody know of a website that lists former Bama players and if they are in or ever were in the NFL? Thanks.

    Kirk's Gameday remarks...

Wow....some of you guys act like Bama is above criticism or something. Look, ESPN is responsible for a lot of the attention college football gets. It's their job to discuss good and bad. This morning ESPN was ripping Tate Forcier and he's just a freshman. You want to be a star you gotta...

Brad Edwards (BCS Guru) explains purposes of BCS system

I love the BCS. It matches up 1 vs 2. With TCU, Boise St., and Cincy there are already some weak BCS bowl matchups. I see no reason for a 8 team playoff. The biggest crime in college football is the ridiculous 30+ day layoff between regular season and the bowls. But considering...

    Where was Terry Grant?

Sorry if this has been discussed to death, but I still have a soft spot in my heart for guys like him. Is he hurt or is he just not good enough to get touches on this team?

Poll: Is Les Miles done after the season

I think he's definitely back for 2010. If LSU doesn't compete closely for the West in 2010 then I think he's in real trouble. Personally, I don't think he's a NC calliber coach but if he can get them jakced up and win their bowl game this year and maybe beat Bama or Florida next year then...

Question: Dabo Swinney problems at Clemson

I don't know what Clemson was thinking. They were an 8 win team under TBowden. They were trying to jump to a 10 win team and they did it by promoting Dabo??? Dabo wasn't even an offensive cordinator. He may be a great recruiter but how special could his "input" be to the offensive...

    Alabama/Florida version of a "10 Year War"

Meyer and Tebow are joined at the hip. I wouldn't be surprised if Meyer follows Tebow to the NFL real soon.

Question: Why was Bama only able to kick field goals once in the red zone?

I thought it was pretty obvious that in the red zone we were trying to force the ball to #8 so he could get his props. I love Julio Jones and want him to be every bit as dominant as AJ Green is at UGA, but we can't force it to him like that. He was double covered on every endzone throw to him...

Chop/Cut Blocking Below the Knees Needs to be Unconditionally Illegal

Actually, I'm like 99% sure the NFL still allows cut blocks. But either way...

Chop/Cut Blocking Below the Knees Needs to be Unconditionally Illegal

How so? Especially when it comes to player safety? Look, you're sad a Bama player got hurt. But that's football. Bama's OL does it too.

Chop/Cut Blocking Below the Knees Needs to be Unconditionally Illegal

By your logic then guys shouldn't be allowed to tackle below the waist either. Watch a football game and imagine a 15 yard penalty everytime a defender chops out a runner's legs or wraps up or trips up a runner's legs.

Chop/Cut Blocking Below the Knees Needs to be Unconditionally Illegal

The Glenn Dorsey play was very different. Dorsey was engaged by two lineamn. One up high and the other went low. Hightower was engaged by one lineman and he went low. I bet Bama's OL did it 20 times as well on saturday. It's good football. It's not malicious.

Chop/Cut Blocking Below the Knees Needs to be Unconditionally Illegal

Because Dallas...it's tackle football. Tackling is dangerous. Should we do away with tackling and make it flag football?

Chop/Cut Blocking Below the Knees Needs to be Unconditionally Illegal

Well said Boston. If this had been a Bama OL and an LSU LB'er these same guys would be calling it a clean play. It sucks when it's your guy hurt, but that's football.

Chop/Cut Blocking Below the Knees Needs to be Unconditionally Illegal

What???? Ball carriers get hit from 6 or 7 directions all at once. Not to mention their hands are tied up trying to hold on to the ball. Hightower was hit by 1 guy from the front and Hightower's hands were free to protect himself. Look...I'm as dissappointed as everybody about losing him...

What's your source on this? Those are some pretty strong accusations.

Crimson and Orange jerseys in Tuscaloosa this year?

I think Bama looks better in white anyway. I know it's supposed to be "home" and "away" but damn we look good in white. I wouldn't mind if we wore white at home a few times a year. Just no gimmicks!!!! No blackouts or houndstooth jerseys. Traditional white or crimson.

Chris Smelley Might Play Football For Tide

Why is anything you said above any different than for any other player? CNS isn't likely to burn a scholarship on me either. And I don't think you have to burn a football scholly for him to practice.
