With 18 commits and only 7 scholarships left to offer here is my wish list, or maybe the "Magnificant 7", i'd like to finish with:

WR Fred Rouse

S Chris Keys

CB Derek Pegeus

DE Doug Worthington & Brandon Deaderick


RB Mikell Simpson or Roy Upchurch


TE Tomm Trott


I know that some of these guys dont even have visits scheduled but what a way to end recruiting.

yeah, go with the Rivals list. I'm not sure Upchurch is ready to make it "official" though rumors say he has already told the staff. We'll see though. Expect to oversign by 3-5.

Reasonable candidates include:

Upchurch, Simpson, Davis, Trott, Rogers, Powers (time may be running out on DBs), Kyles, Greenwood, Deaderick, Keys, Moore, and maybe a surprise

Sorry. I was getting 18 from bamamag.thats all they had listed. They didnt have JPW,Drew Davis or Ricks listed.Either way those 7 i listed would be a hell of a way to end.

where have you read upchurch is supposed to commit tomorrow? just curious. i read about ricks commiting tomorrow, but not upchurch.

IHATEFULMER, i hope you didnt take me posting about us having 21 commits personal, i kinda can tell how u might though, so i am sorry. All i was trying to do is let you know that we have 21 now. I love your screen name on here HAHA.
And the word all over the web is that Upchurch will make his commitment official in the next few days. What i have read is that he was making an official visit to his 2nd favorite school behind alabama this weekend(sorry i cant remember what school) and wanted to make sure He was going to make the right decision.
I know we are not supposed to start Rumors on here without something to back it up with. However, a friend of mine has a roomate that went to Decator. He talked with Jerrud Powers and he said he will commit to alabama sometime this week.
OK so we have lets say 22 commitments because Ricks will commit on monday. I think we will get 7 maybe 8 more commitments, so we sign 29-30. Here is who i think we get. #1 Upchurch(RB), #2 Chris Rogers(DB/WR), #3 Bobby Greenwood(DE), #4 Kent Richardson(DB/WR), #5 Chris Keys(DB/LB), #6 Mikell Simpson(RB), #7Brandon Dedrick(DE) #8 Tommy Trott(DE). OK i will probaly be wrong on a few. but i will put money on it that we sign atleast 5 of those guys and i am sure we will sign a few that i didnt put on there. I do believe that is a good list of who i think we will sign. what do u guys think.

LOL! No I didn't. I didn't do all my homework before i made the post. I just went and compared the 2 commit list and found the 3 i missed. Thanks for the correction.


Those 8 you listed would be a BIG finish also. There are 4 of my "Magnificant 7" on your list. The 3 not on there I know are long shots. Doug Worthington doesn't even have a visit scheduled and from what I've read it doesnt look good with Pegeus and Rouse but at least they do have visits scheduled and anything can happen.


Looking on Bamamag i see were Rouse is scheduled Jan.,3-9 and they dont have Jimmy Barnes as having a visit scheduled. If jimmy doesn't have a visit scheduled or hasn't took one yet I would like to see him come in when rouse does and do a little recruiting himself. Maybe bring some tape for Rouse.

Keys and Sharrief are best friends. Keys moved from La. and lives with the Sharrief family in Steveson,AL. from what I've read in the papers, the Sharrief are his legal guardians.

I live about 20 miles from Stevenson and about a month ago the RUMOR here was that Sharrief and Keys took a visit and both came back loving it. the word was that Keys had been wearing Bama apperal ever since. Some seem to think that they might want to stay together. Since Sharrief commited the RUMORS I here is that Keys is not far behind in commiting.Once again all this is a RUMOR. I here this from people who know people who know people etc.... I am in no way "IN THE KNOW" with Keys just spreading the RUMOR. Damn i sound like i should be working in a beauty shop.LOL
