Have you guys seen these YT videos? I won't post links because the language can be bad, but if you search them on YT you will find entertainment for days. For those that haven't seen them, the basic premise is folks go to public places (courthouses, sheriffs, office, post office, etc.) and film...any and everything, waiting for someone to complain, call security, challenge them...basically looking for a confrontation.

Then when security or cops get there, they unload on them with Constitution and the Law. I am all about calling out ignorance of the Constitution of our elected officials, but some of the guys are downright rude and obnoxious. Just wondering if anyone else has seen any of these guys.

I've seen tons of them.

I do believe that most of us don't really know what our rights are when it comes to many things dealing with "government" intervention.

I also think in most cases if you don't poke the bear - the bear eventually leaves you alone.

Those traffic stops though.....if there is a point to be made, I always say the side of the road is not always the best place to make your argument.

My favorite are the "sovereign Citizen" guys who loudly proclaim that the government has no authority over them, and they don't have to follow the government's laws... of course, they are usually saying these things in cuffs on the way to lockup. :)

There's always a struggle between letter of the law and spirit of the law. People like to use "free speech" to think they are able to exercise it to the degree that no matter what they say or do to someone it should protect them from any consequences. I know the lines can get real blurry on those type situations. But there are situations in which I think free speech shouldn't protect you from getting a mud hole stomped in you and walked dry.

I have no problem with what they are doing as long as they are not nasty about it. I have seen a few that were legit infringements and in which the person holding the camera did nothing wrong but was still arrested because the officer used poor judgement.

There are a ton of poorly trained officers out there, folks. There is a reason that these videos exist.

I agree 100%. I read somewhere that, in most states, it takes more training and time to become a cosmetologist than it does an armed police officer. I don't pretend to know if that is actually true or not, but the visual it paints of requiring more education to cut hair than to know and enforce a whole bunch of laws....wow
