I'll join tonight. Sounds like fun. And kudos for offering a prize (if the PTB concur)- that's pretty decent.

Done. Just one tie breaker scenario eh?
The rules and options were pretty much set by Yahoo. The only options it gave me were to make it straight up or confidence points. I chose straight up because many people don't understand the confidence points and it scares them off. I tried to keep it simple so everyone could play with minimal confusion. However since it is straight up and there's only one tie breaker we can come up with a second tie breaker ourselves. Any ideas?

The one thing I do like about the bowl pick'ems is you don't have to submit all your picks before the first game starts or by 5pm Friday for example. You can make your pick for each individual game right down to five minutes before the game starts and do that for every matchup. That way if you get a gut feeling or some inside info you can make some last minute changes. Also it keeps other competitors from seeing your hand....lol This year I was kicking booty in my pick'em group but the picks had to be made by midnight the day before or something like that. I had to work late a couple of times and missed my picks which knocked me out of contention.

I'm in. Do the Yahoo thing with a few friends every year. Maybe I can redeem my sub-par regular season by having a great post-season pick 'em.

Could do a Lowest Highest points scored they used to use that as additional tie breakers. Oh btw thanks should be fun.

Well since I'm up late, again, with my chronic RLS, I've had some time to ponder secondary tie breakers. With 50 + players and TideFansstore Bama Gear at stake for 5 winners, a tie is imminent.

The only simple, yet challenging idea I've had is to guess the collective point total of all 35 bowl games. There's a wide range of possible answers. What do you think?

We can post the secondary tie breaker here and on the pick'em board and hope everyone see's it. Remember though, it's optional, merely a precaution in case the primary tie breaker ends in a tie. We 'll also have to invest in a deadline that gives everyone a fair shot to see it posted.

All predictions should be posted where? And by when? Little help everyone? Lafella?

MO, I think just the point total of the BCSCG would be enough; you won't have more than a 3-way tie (IDT), and closest to point total wins. Closest to point total under wins in case of a tie there (1 over, 1 under but same difference), and as a backup (third tiebreaker)- first one to post it. Post predictions on the message board on the game site - they are time/date stamped.
