Chelsea had a nice UCL win over FC Salzburg yesterday 2-1 which, I think, puts them through to the knockout rounds. Potter has done a very nice job of calming things down after all of the turmoil and getting the team back together. Tuchel was one of the best tactitions I have ever seen, but he refused to add the General Manager role to his responsibilities and they "had" to let him go. Potter has been a pleasant surprise. He seems to be doing a good job of managing egos.

I was hoping Pochettino would go to Chelsea. I like Potter, and I'm afraid of how good Chelsea might be under him.

Man City had a "good" win against Leicester Saturday. 0-1. Haaland was out. Rogers did a good job of making it ugly, and it almost worked. They were playing with 9 or 10 back. Tough to watch, but I thought MC did a good job of sticking with it.

Good question. They just aren't very good right now. I keep waiting and expecting them to get it going.
Exactly. It seems like they keep finding ways to lose, as opposed to ways to win. I keep thinking they're about to go on a run, but they seem to sputter every time.

Wasn't a good match week for Villa, but Newcastle is playing some really goof football right now.

It was a great win for them. As the season drags on, I feel confident that their depth will have them overtaking Arsenal for the Premier League title.

Villa beat Man United 3-1 in Unai Emery's first game in charge! Three points clear of the relegation zone and hopefully we can keep climbing the table.

Was a great last minute winner for United by the 18 year old Garnacho over Fulham. Is there a more petulant prima donna on the planet than Ronaldo? His crying to Piers Morgan of all people is truly pathetic. He has ruined his legacy at United.

Read an interesting article on ESPNFC stating that Liverpool will gain an EPL advantage over the WC break because they have the fewest players in the league going to the WC. Hard to believe. I think it said they had 4 players going. IIRC Chelsea has four players staying behind. That will be a great rest/ back to fundamentals time for Liverpool.
