2024 McDonal's All American Game

Recorded this game last night and just getting into it.

Bama has #22 Aiden Sherrel and #35 Derrian Reid, who are both on the West team, in this game.

My first impression on both is they both look like they could step on the floor and play. Sherrel is 6'11" (weight listed on his McDonald's profile is 220 lbs) but I think he looks bigger. Looks and plays long. Reid is more filled out at 6'7" and around 200 lbs. Just for body reference, they both look like they are filled out better now than Stevenson and Walters even right now.

Impressed by a couple of other players so far including the Texas signee Tre Johnson (6'6" guard) who looks like he'll be a scoring machine and also Dylan Harper a 6'5" PG who looks like he just understands basketball and will be a great player.

From what I watched, Sherrell seems to be a problem on D. Very good shot blocker (Saw 3 or 4 blocks), didn't see very many score on him. Slides his feet pretty well for a big guy too.

What little I watched in the first half, I was not impressed with the top rated player in the country who signed with Duke. Maybe he played better in the second half, and I missed it.

He took 3 threes that I recall. Didn't make any.

I think he's an all-around good player. Plays longer than he looks and he's long

Blocked a shot that was insane as he came over in help defense.

IMO, he's not made for a game like this one usually highlights, but he'll be a very good cog on a "team" that learns to play together.

Best player on floor was Derik Queen, a big on the east squad that's probably a double double machine.

Also the 6'6" Texas signee. He's a player. He'll be trouble down the road for SEC teams.
