How many fans will show up for the A-DAY GAME

Speaking as someone who's flying across the country to see the game, I would be pretty upset if it filled up and I was left out. I think it will fill up, due to all of the extra type of ESPN, and the buzz about how well we've done for A-Day the last 2 years. I'm expecting a huge crowd.

i am surprised. i live here in tenn, and i am a die hard bama fan, but, the bar has been set by bama for all the nations schools to seek. knowing the tradition, and the need for bama fans to maintain championships, players stats, fans involvement, and to keep coach saban happy, and now espn wanting more. what is happening sports wise to interfere with this opportunity to again show the world bama is touchdown usa. its free, spring, no other big sports going on, and a fan base as fervent as any i know. my friends dont under estimate our bama bretheran. i expect over 90,000 just to prove my point. roll tide.

Hmmm...decent chance of rain now. I sure hope we don't have to deal with rain. I'll be there regardless...but I'd rather be dry if at all possible.

Hey everybody,
It's my first post and it's to say that I am driving down from Arkansas to support my favorite team in the world. I can't wait, my first A-day Game, ESPN Coverage, A whole stadium of fellow Tiders. Life can't get any better.
I love being a Tide fan!!! See ya at the stadium :BigA:!!!

I do have a question since it's my first. What is the best time to get there for good seating?

ALABAMA FOOTBALL: Large crowd expected to support Tide today | montgomeryadvertiser.com | Montgomery Advertiser

Post game day response from Coach Saban. "Another outstanding crowd. I have been around football for years and the response at Alabama is overwhelming".

Alabama coach Nick Saban says the support shown by Tide fans has meant a lot.

Other programs can make all the excuses they want but its the fans who make the difference and the players take note. Last season Trent Richardson's Mother was blown away with the Spring game. Imagine if she had came with Trent in 2007!

Coach Saban knows he is in a unique place where the fan base is rabid and can not get enough football. Year round.

The fan support at Alabama is unparalleled. I do not expect other fan bases to follow or understand.

If not for the morning rain and threat of more to come, we no doubt would have packed the house again. RTR

You're exactly right. A lot of people left that morning. We stayed at the Days Inn on Skyland and several people were leaving that morning going back home because of the morning rain. It looked like it was setting in and wasn't going anywhere. I bet many others did the same. If not for the morning showers I'm pretty sure it would have been filled to capacity.

I think so too- It was a little cool & windy too so that didn't help. A lot of people were up walking around until around 2nd qtr & some left early. We left in the 3rd.

No doubt the weather (or actually the "threat" of weather) kept us from packing it out. It's a shame those who decided to stay away weren't there because the weather turned out to be just fine for the entire game. Still when you factor in that "threat" of dicey weather and we still had over 84,000 show up, that's extremely impressive in of itself.

Don't you know Chris Fowler told us no less than 3 times there were only 70k in the stands  That clown gave us a grand total of ZERO compliments for such support and chose not to mention the weather as a factor either . Any non-biased idiot would have made a big deal about the # of fans who showed up and would've mentioned them shrugging off the weather to do so . I was irritated over it yesterday and it bothered me more and more with each passing hour to that point that I am officially p'd off and have tried to find his e-mail address to post :mad2:

Yeah I did notice that after watching (the abbreviated, damn stupid NBA playoffs ) coverage ESPN provided of yesterday's game. I've never much liked Fowler anyway. ;)
