I don't think he took that visit...I believe Ole Miss canceled the visit at the last minute...something to do with paperwork and a NCAA Clearinghouse deadline...Didn't he take an official visit to Ole Miss a week or to ago? Anyone know what his thoughts were on the trip?
First on the agenda: Interviewing 101."I told everybody at my school that I thought Ole Miss had a really good shot of playing in the SEC Championship Game," McCarron said. "People thought I was retarded, but they are a very good team. They are very underrated. The SEC is so tough. Everybody beats up on everybody, but they haven't shocked me at all. I knew they'd be very skilled on offense. I wish they would let Jevan (Snead) throw the ball a little bit more. They have a bunch of skill players. I wish they'd open it up a little more."
I believe (most of the time) Rivals lists any commitment who is visiting another school as a "soft verbal." It doesn't mean a whole lot. AJ said in the above linked article he is 99.9% headed to Bama...and his only reason for a visit to Ole Siss is as a "back up plan" in case something crazy happened like an unexpected coaching change, etc.rivals lists him as being a soft verbal. I thought he was firmly in our camp. :conf2:
In that article he is quoted as saying that he is 99.9% sure that he is going to Alabama. Here's a link from RebelSports.net that may provide some insight:

AJ was at the Miss. St. game. he was sitting right across the fence from us towards the end. He and Dre Kirkpatrick were talking and laughing and seem to be having a great time. brandon moore was also right by us.I may be mistaken but I believe I saw him talking to Coach Mac Saturday night after the MSU game...did anyone see him at the game??
I work with a good friend of A.J's and she said that he's def going to Bama. No worries
