ACC and PAC 12 Demise seems close (FSU officially stating intentions to fight ACC Grant of Rights… Clemson sues the ACC)

So west coast teams join Big 10, Big 10 makes new divisions, creating pacific division for PAC-12 teams, basically recreating the conference

makes sense.

I stop trying to make sense of it when a conference called the Big 10 had 16 teams.

At least the PAC-8/10/12 has actually been honest about their membership numbers. Glad we are in a conference without a number in its name, although we aren’t truly relegated to the southeast anymore.

Isn’t this like marrying your ex-wife?
My first thought was more….

it’s like digging in the bottom of your dresser and grabbing an old pair socks from 13 years ago to wear. Nostalgic. A little dry rot maybe. But as you look closer and realize that part of one the feet is missing. (I know, I know, too soon, I’m evil, blah, blah, blah…. ;) )

Rumor circulating now is that AZ/ASU and Utah package deal to Big XII imminent.

I think at this point it’s a given that Washington, Oregon, and Stanford are going to the B1G.

My opinion may be a minority one, but having away football games you have to repeatedly fly across the entire country for will end up withering the on-campus experience, wear out the players/staff, and may end up killing college football more than any other change.
I don't think travel is really making a ton of difference. Teams already travel as it is and are used to it, and conference expansion just makes the distance a little farther, but not much.
