I received that dreaded remainder to post so here is my post-game post:) Like others, I'm disappointed about how we performed as a team. I think that I know what Mrs. Saban was referring to when the word "Appreciation reared it's ugly head last week. I can only speak about myself when I say that my expectations are unrealistic when it comes to Alabama football. I appreciate the Players and Coaches for what you have done and I'm sure will continue to do---RTR!

Well said, WsN. Time to concentrate on recruiting and winning whatever bowl game we go to!! RTR

Ditto to the above. That idiot Finebaum suggested that Coach may go to the lake over this loss. Maybe he's doing it for ratings to get the rabble roused, I don't know. What I do believe is that Coach is made of much stouter stuff to be totally destroyed by one game. Clear evidence of this is the beat down given to Michigan State in the bowl game following the 2010 season. That was an angry football team. I firmly believe that if Alabama were to play the boogs 9 more times, they would win at least 8 of them. Whoever plays in the NC game will clearly not have the best team there. If it is FSU and OSU, it will be a beat down by FSU similar to the ND game last year, although not quite as emphatic.

Don't worry Ms. Terry, you and your husband, the rest of the coaching and support staff and the players, are so-o-o appreciated. I thank our lucky stars that Mal would not take "No" for an answer and got Coach to the Capstone. Roll Tide!

I would like to say thanks to Cade Foster for his tenure @ BAMA. I followed his recruitment, and felt that he would be a great kicker. And, I still feel that he has been a really good kicker. And, I feel that he has made a difference from being the extra defensive player on kickoffs. I would challenge anyone to find a kicker that covers kickoffs any better.
Having said that. I know that there is a thread dedicated to adddressing the negative comments about his bad game. But, I am ashamed that any BAMA fan would make those comments. I for one would like to say Thanks for the effort. And I feel that I can speak for the majority of folks that post on this site, when I say that we wish you well in the future. Good Luck young man.

I couldn't agree more. There is only 1 champion in CFB D1 every year and contrary to what many of us have become accustomed (spoiled) to it will not always be us.

There are certainly fans of over 100 programs that would gladly change places with us right now - even programs that many consider or have considered elite.

AJ was right - the sun came up Sunday morning & it was a new day

ROLL TIDE!!

I am disappointed like everyone else, but it is not the end of the world. Sometimes, the breaks just don't fall your way. We had more than enough opportunities to win the game.

Regardless, we should be happy with a team that finished 11-1 this year. We've lost 3 games in 3 years people. That is outstanding by anyone's measure except maybe Brando. I don't blame Cade at all. We should have never put him in that position to begin with. We missed so many plays that would have changed the result that it is ridiculous so Cade should not bear the brunt of the loss. Everyone up to and including CNS himself made mistakes they wish they could have back.

We'll be back and competing for championships again. Auburn , Well they will be Auburn. They will be occasionally a good team, but they will be mediocre most years. That is just the order of things. Bama and the rest of the SEC will catch up to their smoke and mirror offense soon enough and the boogs will be looking up at the tide wishing they could be us.

My after thoughts are Coach Saban did a lot better job then I gave him credit for Saturday night and Sunday (still un Saban oh). West Georgia did play ok but we had about eight plays if our player had done his job the game is over. I get mad at Bama fans for not filling the stadium up and for not been the loudest in the nation but I'm so glad we don't act like West Georgia after a win you would think they won the world forever.

On kick-offs, having Cade on the field was like having a linebacker on the field. He did play linebacker in high school. If he'd tried that 56/57 yard field goal our chances of bringing that #11 down before he reached the end zone would have been much better.

Coach always talks about 4 or 5 plays in a game can make a difference between winning and losing. That 99 and 1/2 yard pass by A. J. to #9 was a game changer. The Barn had about 3 or 4 of those game changers.

As an outsider, Alabama has so much to be proud of, even in defeat. The Tide is practically assured an at-large berth to a BCS bowl (and hopefully they'll be matched with a worthy opponent - UCF and Northern Illinois just don't cut it) and going 12-1 is mighty tough for any team to do, even one as good as Bama.

Don't worry, Auburn will get their comeuppance. Whether they get beat by Mizzou on Saturday, lose their bowl game, or be penalized back to the Stone Age by the NCAA, it's a good day for college athletics when bad things happen to Auburn (Harvey Updyke incident nonwithstanding).
