AG Lynch Under Fire For Terror Comments

Compassion, unity and love are the best way for us to treat each other (before and) after a terror attack. Cowering in fear or turning against those who have no more in common with the perpetrators than skin color and nominally religion are what the terrorists want.

Of course, the proper response to the terrorists is firepower.

I read that article like I take in all media these days; i.e., thru a strong "Bias" filter. Even so, a logical person can only conclude one of two things:
1. She meant what everyone thinks she meant. If so, she is so misguided to a point of being naïve. And that's an unacceptable trait for our nation's AG
2. She meant the compassion, unity, and love should be directed toward the people of Orlando, and perhaps the LBGT community. If so, her public speaking skills are weak at best. That's also an unacceptable trait for our nation's AG.

The lady's gotta go.

It's not just her. It's the entire Obama administration and their wrong-headed line of thinking.

Yep, let's all get in a circle, hold hands and sing kumbaya. The USA is NO longer feared by our enemies. And YES, these nut job muslims are our enemy. Thanks Obama. SMH

I would like all supporters of Obama and/or Hillary to have to wear signs identifying themselves as such. That way when we come under attack and have to defend ourselves and families, we will know to not defend those who wear the signs. Let them be killed first and save us the trouble for them inviting the enemy to our doorsteps.

I am reminded here of a former poster's (Crimson Nan) signature line. "A fool is one who feeds the alligator in hopes that it will eat them last''

You want statesmen? Take a look at a handfull of Congress critters currently conducting a "sit-in" to force some issue that has already been defeated in the Senate. Being fed doughnuts and pizza around the clock.
There's statesmen for you.

Hey, Congress critters; John and Yoko called. They want their sit-in back.

Not to hijack the thread, nor to go into some realm of utopia, but I wish "we the people" would universally hold our politicians accountable for being "non-statesman-like" as they go about their daily business to lead our country. In my lifetime the debate in our country has shifted from one of statesman disagreements to one of anarchy. My fear is that it's only a matter of time for that to lead to a non-peaceful transition of power when a new president takes over. If that were to ever occur, our country as we once knew it will be gone forever.

We are for the most part at that point now. Violent thugs are being bussed to and paid to disrupt political events. The First Amendment is under attack through physical violence and the Second is right behind.

Or start anew. To think hundreds of millions of freedom loving Americans would lay down our arms and bow down to a dictator is foolish. Not in America. We have never been afraid to fight for our freedom. It's in our history and in our blood and we won't go down without a fight.

Ok. Where is the love and compassion for the people of the United States who the Obama administration constantly label as hateful, racist, and misogynistic?

On one level, I agree with her. It is a foundational concept of Christianity (to which I adhere) that love is our only weapon, and is greater than fear. If Mrs. Lynch was speaking in a personal capacity, I would be inclined to defend her.

Even Christianity acknowledges that governments are obliged to enforce law, however (Romans 13:1-7 is pertinent here, as are several other passages. Also, the doctrines of imputed power via various covenants such as the Noahic come into play for the theologically minded). In this case, I would consider it more appropriate for the AG to focus on the role of the government in defending its citizenry while speaking in her public capacity. I don't want to pile on and go all hyperbolic in my criticism, but that wasn't a very deft handling of the matter.

eta - and I don't give a hoot if she resigns or not. It makes no more difference than, for example, the resignation of James Watt.
