I hope we let AJ run the exact same offense..We've ran against The Barners in the 1st half..This hurry up stlye offense is tailor-made for AJ..

And the couple of times I saw what his replacement has done, really has me worried about the QB position next year.
AJ has looked good the few times he's had a chance too play..Did he make mistakes..Sure he did..All QB's do..Getting thrown into the IB with a minute left & auburn in Max Pass Coverage is dang near an impossible task..

Yep. I think AJ is very talented and could be very good if he continues to develop, but the best overall QB on our team is without a doubt Greg this year. With that said, AJ COULD develop into a better QB than Greg, but he is not close yet.

I don't know what GMac's stats were today , but i bet there's a bunch of QB's that would love to have them in a game. Also JJ had a great 1st half too , probably a record game. Problem is , there is two halves to the game. Most teams you get up by 24-7 , would.nt come out and drive right by you in the next half , but AU did. They must be the better team THIS year. We should have whupped them just because I don't like them and you don't either. We didn't so then we'll just have to wait till next year.

T.S.

Well, we will see. I know McCarron was hands down the best passer in A-Day this year just needs to know when to throw the ball away and not force things.

Not sure if you saw my post in the postgame thread, but I got an interesting tweet from Chase Goodbread:

Nick Saban mentions Phillip Sims a lot for a guy redshirting. Obviously likes him. Sims/McCarron battle in spring will be epic

Don't think AJ has it wrapped up quite yet.

I really like Sims too. He's sooo smooth. Looks like he was born to throw a football and from his HS videos he looks to be really cool under pressure. If McCarron beats him out, we'll have a darn good QB so we can't really lose either way. :BigA:

Not to be Debbie Downer tonight, but AJ didn't impress me tonight. Mr. Sims may indeed be giving him a run for his money.
I can respect your opinion..But..How could AJ impress anyone with 1min left & auburn in max pass coverage..It would've took a miracle..The OLine didn't exactly give him the greatest protection either..It was a no win situation for AJ..JMO

Fair point, but we only needed a field goal. Pass blocking was fair (relatively speaking). I figured one first down could be made. ) 0 for 4 isn't good.. though given one was a drop.
