Alabama, Future Scheduling Thread

A vast majority of guys that will suite up against Texas don’t even have their drivers license or learners permit yet...

USC-Bama will be a great game in a great venue. Now we just need to add another "Name" team to the 2019 schedule instead of just Duke.

I'm glad we're continuing to add big names to our OOC schedule. Saw this tweet about Texas's future non-conference schedule:

2019: LSU
2020: @LSU
2021: @ Arkansas
2022: Alabama
2023: @ Alabama
2024: @ Michigan
2025: Ohio State
2026: @ Ohio State
2027: Michigan

I don't like Herman at all but that's impressive to be willing to play so many big name programs in home-home series. Maybe he didn't have much to do with putting some of them together but it's an impressive list nonetheless..

I suspect he will have them looking like Oklahoma in a few years or he will be fired. No in between.

Add UCF to the 2019 schedule they certainly think they are a "Name" team these days. Of course if they did that, and took them behind the shed which would be the case, then we will be accused of playing cupcakes.

The USC game is a couple years away but hey, it is the off-season. Some comments from USC fans. NOTE: This thread is language O.K. although I did change one questionable word but I can't speak for the other threads on this site.

1. Over the next two recruiting cycles USC will have stockpiled a ridiculous amount of talent shoring up its depth at every position. No more snactions affecting USC. No more excuses about inexperienced coaches. Ellabama's day of reckoning is approaching.

Write this down: USC blows out the Tide. I guarantee it. Fight On!

2. Big Boy football indeed. But why Bama? Can't we play a LSU/Auburn/Clemson, and then get our rematch with Bama?

3. nice way for JT to kick off his Heisman campaign by kicking Bama's butt at Jerry's World

4. I will feel better about this game if satan retires or goes to nfl in the next couple of years. I like helton but this is a coaching mismatch like last 2 times we played in that stadium. Hopefully JT can make a difference

5. Hopefully Tua will be gone and Bama will be breaking in a brand new QB. Hard to imagine Tua would stay for his senior year - but stranger things have happened.

6. I would say at best we could have a slightly less amount of talent than them by 2020. Alabama has recruited like this

2015 #2
2016 #1
2017 #1
2018 #7 (Simply because they had less scholarships than everyone besides USC).
2019 # They are already out recruiting everyone with 11 4* recruits before the season has even started.

And nothing against our guys but I'm going to go ahead and say they do a lot better job with talent than we do. Look at the 5* guys from 2015 class when we supposedly had the #1 class.

John Houston - Average/Decent
Rasheem Green - Average/Decent
Iman Marshall - Average
Porter Gustin - Potential but still average on the field

Why is this the only sport that we schedule this far out?
