Every time I see an ad for a free fight song ringtone I immediately select it only to find that the free ringtone is NOT free. Normally if I get a FREE ringtone I am also subscribing to some sort of service at 7-15 dollars a month.

Is there such a thing as getting Yea Alabama as a ringtone without these kinds of subscriptions?

I got mine through my service provider for a one time fee of 1.99. There are ways to get mp3's on your phone to use as ring tones, but i just pefer to pay the $ rather then go through all the trouble

Sprint has several Alabama ringtones on their website (if you have Sprint). I have purchased several of them for my phone. Most service providers will have at least one for Bama for purchase without a subscription. Good luck finding one and Roll Tide! :BigA:

For those of us with Sprint/Nextel, there is a promo code to occasionally download a FREE ringtone. One does have to furnish credit card info to download, but with use of the current promo code, full amount is credited back to your account, (hence, free). There is a link to Bama's Fight Song under College Fight Songs, but there IS a problem, and if enough of us Sprint/Nextel customers alert them, perhaps they will correct the problem......

Here is the problem: Bama's Fight Song is the 9th one down on the list of College Fight Songs. You can preview it by passing your pointer over the music note symbol, and you hear the 'Yea Alabama' that we all know. Now, click on that music note symbol, as if to purchase or use a promocode for a freebie. If you click on the 'preview' button on that page you now hear what I think is 'Shout' from the Blues Brothers, but certainly not our Fight Song. As a result, I have not downloaded it as yet. (I used my current freebie promo code already, or I'd take one for the team!)

I did contact someone in Sprint/Nextel Customer Service 3 weeks ago, and he understood the problem as I described it, and promised to forward it to Tech Support for (hopefully) a correction. But alas, the glitch still exists.

I'm hoping that if enough of us Bama Fans and Sprint/Nextel Customers, who are interested in having this corrected, contact them on this discrepancy, perhaps they will fix it.
(There is strength in numbers sometimes!)

ROLL TIDE folks!
