Alfy Hill to return?

I posted this on the Recruiting board, wasn't sure where to put it. Heard he is going to going to JUCO @ Arizona Western C.C. (where Jesse Williams is) and plans on enrolling at Alabama ASAP.

Great News, heard it's on TI as well.

If he goes JUCO he will have to graduate from that school in order to enroll at bama. As soon as he does he will be able to play at bama. you can finishe JUCO in as little as a year and half so theoretically if this is true he could be on the team as early as 2012.

Pretty sure thats right, correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm not sure exactly either, but I thought you basically had to take classes and get your transcript at the JUCO to the point that Alabama could except it. Not sure if you actually have to graduate or not. I know some players elect to only play one year at JUCO so that they have three years of eligibility when they get to where they are wanting to go.

Would the 3 classes that he took at Bama over the summer, plus the classes that he has taken at ECU, apply to help him pass?

The players who only play one year at JUCO are still there for at least a year and a half. The just chose to redshirt one of those seasons, leaving them 3 years to play 3.
 
Hate to bring this up, but did he play this year at ECU? If he did, then that's one year gone. IF he plays JUCO, that's another one, whether he graduates or not. If he comes then, he only has two to play. He probably played at ECU. I hope he doesn't play at JUCO, although that may be a problem, so far as a scholly is concerned. It seems to me that he basically got screwed by both the NCAA and by his coach/adviser...

Could he have played? I thought I remembered hearing that this was a ncaa decision so therefore switching conferences or schools would still not allow him to play until after this year when he'd have to be retaking those classes that caused him to be ruled ineligible.:conf2:
