Howdy neighbor. I've lived in five points for 20 yrs and watched my grandchildren play at those places.

By the time I was 10 years old I was already a three time all-american at Bama. Sadly, my career was cut short by what turned out to be a startling lack of ability.

Similar deal here. At age 12, I was as tough to tackle as Wilbur Jackson and could hit & tackle like John Croyle & Robin Parkhouse. (the 3 younger kids next door could attest to these facts...)

Regrettably, though, I fairly well stopped growing around that same time. And I was short then. I combined small stature with a blazing lack of speed to transform my athletic career *coughs* *clears throat* into the stunning success I've seen. ("seen" is to be taken very literally; student section, season tix, away games, bowl games, all seen from the stands or on TV...and btw, the 3 younger kids next door all became large, muscular Marine pilots--fortunately, I had the good sense to cease playing football with them once they began approaching me in size...)
