Thats not up to date. I rode by the stadium last week & they already had post up to about 10-12 feet high. Webcam doesnt work.

They are called tower cranes........

That is right. They are called Tower cranes with a single pulley block system and fixed boom. I am a union Boilermaker and know all about cranes. We will really be able to tell in just a few more weeks because it will be time to invade T-town. Cant wait and ROLLLLL TIDDDEEEE ROOOOLLLLL!!!!!! P.S. Does anyone believe that Tide Pride may offer some late tickets to the VA Tech game. They sent letters and e-mails out last year for the Clemson game late. Just wondering. Let Bryant-Denny rise and become a real home-field advantage.

Ooooohh.....I like seeing those tower-crane things up! Although I must admit I just got a little flashback of that flyover for the LSU game a few years back when it looked like that plane was going to fly right into one of them. Honest to God, I almost tinkled on myself!:blush:

I've never heard a tower crane called a whirlybird, so I had visions of helicopters and/or roof vents....neither of which made sense!

I was watching this game a few hundered yards away at some apartments and the whole dang complex was shaking. It was the craziest thing. Too bad that those guys ruined the flyovers. Now it seems like all of them are like a mile over the stadium now, that just makes it no fun...

Anyone know what to look for in the near future? Any engineers? I am assuming they will be working on those posts or columns for a little while longer, but then what? Are they finishing those or going to start working on the whole base?
