IUOE 653 Here. I'm told there is a few 312 Operators at work there so. At least some of BDS will be union made. Gosh I'm excited to see it in person. What a dream job

Anyone know what to look for in the near future? Any engineers? I am assuming they will be working on those posts or columns for a little while longer, but then what? Are they finishing those or going to start working on the whole base?

I'm not sure how they will get there but I beleive it will look like this pic when done.

Trust me. I personally wouldn't call it just a crane. If a contractor said "O you will be running a crane" I'd be asking a lot of descriptive questions.

I'm confused. Is the expansion supposed to be done in time for this season? Or are we going to have cranes and stuff in the way during this season. Looks like some of the seats can't be used while they are working on it.

Just like during the expansion of the north endzone, there will be cranes and work going on during this season. The south endzone is due to be ready for the kickoff of the 2010 season.

The scoreboard is gone. We'll have 4 bigscreens in the four "corners" of the stadium and I'm assuming the score will be on the ribbon boards.

That's the one thing I've been unclear on in this process.... if they were going to do that BEFORE this season or, as with the North End Zone, as one of the last things before it debuted.... Do you know they'll be there for sure? If not, does anyone have a picture - surely the frames are in place by now...

I don't have any inside info but I doubt very seriously that we'll have four video boards this season.

Yah, I doubt as well that there will be two screens in the south corner. Too much construction to have all the wiring and stuff as well and heavy equipment around some very expensive toys.

Anyone know if a few rows of the Greek section will be effected by this? I know in 2005, a little bit of the top section of the lower bowl was effected, but that was mainly what is now "The Zone". Any reason the Greek section would be effected? Personally, I wouldn't mind if they had to take out the whole Greek section, but just interested.

I read a while back some of the student section seats will be standing room only during the 2009 season (the ones where the new Zone will be). So they will sell the same number of tickets, but there will be no bleachers. No big deal because students stand most of the time, and the greek section tends to crowd down to the lower rows anyways.
