Question: Anybody notice AJ getting hit in mouth by a thrown object in 4th Qtr. on the sideline

I saw it Saturday and during the replay on ESPN3 today. It looks like a piece of gum from the stands hit him on the cheek.

I saw it. Looked like something hit him in the eye, but the camera cut away just after it hit him. I would hate to have seen a piece of ice or gum, or whatever, actually do some damage to his eye. Hopefully, that didn't come from one of his teammates. But you know, boys will be boys.

but it can be a distraction.

My vote would be to keep our helmets on for every away game.

I've been to games and been hit with debris while setting in the stands. Needed a helmet.
I've seen drunks throw bottles, and waded up cups of ice on a number of occasions.

If true, they should add LSU to the list. The band has to keep their headgear on when coming/going in death valley. Those fans can be even worse than UT.

It was Phillip Fulmer who accidentally hit AJ. He was trying to get donut glaze off his hands and unfortunately the glaze projectile nailed AJ right in the face. According to a reputable Vol, "this happens more than you might expect."
