Question: Anyone else see Ingram on the ground on the sideline after Cody's second block?

We were sitting right behind the bench and saw him on the ground with a couple of staff (trainers?) around him. We couldn't tell if he was in pain or it was the relief of having the fumble rendered meaningless. I haven't seen any stories but wasn't sure if I'd missed it somewhere.

Remembering how he beat himself up over a block leading to a sack, he may have hurt himself badly after losing a fumble in that situation. :eek2::wink:

Well if it makes you feel any better he seemed fine in his post-game interview, just upset with himself.

Thanks Mark for everything you mean to this team and the Bama nation. Forget it and let's move on. We'll be needing you and the class you bring to the program.

Didn't see him after the block, but before it, you could tell he was sick to his stomach.

This team is Ingrams family, his brothers, he let them down. If he were a lesser player I'd be frustrated, but Ingram was probably emotionally a wreck after that. Ingram has bailed us out the last few weeks, this time Mt Cody bailed Ingram out. Thats what brothers do.

:BigA:We may have played our worst game and came away with a win and now with a week to get rested it is time to play our best all the way to the national championship! Roll Tide:BigA:

Mark Ingram is awesome and I think his fumble just proves that he's human. One time out of 300 something carries.. he shouldn't beat himself up about it. After all, it did make for a pretty interesting game.. and I haven't seen one of those in a long time.

I know a fumble is a fumble but he had 4 Vols on him pulling on his arm. Ball fell out just before he hits the ground. I don't know if anyone could have avoided that.

That's true. I think it was just more of a great defensive play than a bad one on offense..

Ingram and the bobcat would be awesome if we had a competent play caller.

Let's not get too carried away. Most of us were screaming "Give it to Ingram!" at that point in the game. You can read through the game thread and see.

I am hopeful this makes Ingram an even better player. He is still a winner.
