Article: Applewhite "Great" for Bama Offense

I haven't seen this article posted yet so I thought I would post it. I just can't wait to see how our new offense is going to perform with all of the returning talent. If Grant, Upchurch or JJ can step it up at RB I think we can put some points on the board this year.

I'm really curious to see how we look if Johns is at fullback or a hybrid type position and Grant is at a more traditional tailback position. It could give us a thunder and lightning approach to the running game if both players are on the field at once.

I agree, with JJ's size and power he could really pave the way for Grant plus he's been practicing at fullback over the past week.

Has anyone been able to see any part of the "closed practices"? I am curious who has the best hands of the RB to catch the ball out of the backfield. I think that will play a very big part in who gets the most playing time under this new offense.

I have a feeling that this year when the offense lines up (esp. in the red zone)that everybody and their third cousin will not know exactly what play is coming. I am excited and looking forward to seeing this offense on the field.

I think CNS did a great job of putting a staff together. I think CMA and co. is just the shot in the arm that BAMA needs. It's not your daddy's football but it will be exciting and will produce wins. Just imagine us actually calling a pass to the tight end or a back out of the backfield. It's all but unheard of at BAMA.

One of the biggest improvements ( coaching wise ) I think we'll see is gonna be that this staff will come up with a game plan for each individual team we play and not run all of the same old plays the entire season.

I'm very excited to see our offense under Coach Applewhite. We've got some offensive weapons, and creative play-calling should make all the difference!
