Assistants dropping like flies these days ... Torbush fired

Cap: Carl T did not know a thing about Fran's plans or departure from ALABAMA. He did try HARD to get the job...he LOVED/LOVES Alabama & Tuscaloosa ------ just like his family did/does (as well as all of Fran's staff other than those "3") - but Carl HAD to take up Fran's offer to work at A & M at the 11th hour; he had/has a family to support, & NO ONE else was offering him any jobs...he did all he could to stay here - it was just not to be. He'll get something - but not real real soon probably. (unless he's in touch with someone else in his suspicion that this may have happeend... though Fran makes it almost impossible for his staff to job-search or advance their careers) However, as we all know, this is coach-shake-up time of year...maybe, maybe for his & his family's sake, he can be hired someplace soon...I haven't decided what I truly think about his coaching ability, etc etc - but I DO know he is NOT a fan of Fran - never was...He was ONE of several of Fran's "whipping boys"...

Well of course he'll be at A & M for a while......DUH!! He's wanted NOWHERE else....PERIOD!!
The word out of Kansas City was that he put out some feelers for the K-State job, and his people were told not to waste their time. They had no interest in him, were looking "in another direction", etc. Chickens are finally coming home to roost.

Fran is computer-illiterate. That means smiling ("be of good cheer") MM actually did the axing...You think he accompanies Fran to the bathroom?

Mike probably knows a thing or two about toilet paper. After Fraud ditched the Iron Bowl in 2002, I'm sure McKenzie was helping the goobers roll Toomer's Corner. ;)

Well now see, HE will be criticized SOMEWHAT for firing Torbush - but the NEW DC will do the other firings, which will protect Fran's "loyalty" routine...

No surprise. Fran's back is against the wall, offering up a coordinator as a sacrificial lamb will buy him some time.
I agree with you all who think Torbush was a very good defensive coach. If we were to have any vacancies on the staff here on that side of the ball, I would take him back in a minute, even if it was just as a position coach.
