i think BC voluntarily turned off his phone. the stories about his dad are probably coming from aubs scared he will flip to us and needing something to blame.

I just heard the funniest thing on another board and had to tell ya'll. The poster said Brent was being held in his house and not allowed to talk to anyone from Aub. They also said his Dad has taken his cell phone away from him until after signing. They all feel so bad for this boy and what his family is putting him through just because he want to go to Aub not Bama. I lost it. That is some funny stuff.
I thought it was a joke the first time I read it, but they seem to be going with this story. Freaking nut house, that place is.

If what every one is saying concerning his dad pulling him toward UA, then I highly doubt he would go against that.

Reason being just the way he turned on AU's trip and then all of suddenly go back to Bama last weekend instead of AU per his parents request.

I think he realizes now that his parents know something that he doesnt and probably feels more comfortable listening to them than ole' Blooper Taylor.

Good luck young man. You have talent and potential, so go to the place where your potential will produce you the most talent to get to the next level.

what is lost in this is that recruits have to get their parents to sign off on where they go the reason we didn't get greg reid and Mrs. Saban is our biggest recruiter for clowney. I remember when Fred Rouse's Mom wouldn't sign his LOI for an hour until he talked her into to it because she didn't want him at FSU.

Good point jambama. This could ultimately affect where BC goes just based on his parents wishes but I truly think that UA is where he wants to go but maybe he's afraid to go back and not get playing time or a welcoming fan base. I think he could contribute in the DB area in maybe 2 to 3 years but he would be a major work in progress but could play at AU after the first year

That poses the question that has been asked so many times.....why would a player want to play for a team that is so bad he could play right away without any competition? There is little doubt that BC has wanted to play for Bama for a long time but the troopa got in his head and convinced him he could be an AA RB at the barn. His parents see right through the aubies ploy, have tried to straighten his head out and says that if he insists on going to the barn he must mend fences at Bama and do it the right way.
After this past weekend of entertainment for the visiting recruits, at albarn, there may be a lot of parents see through the "family values" ploy of the barners.

Gee Coach Durden thanks for the player evaluation and your recruiting skills are impecable. Maybe Saban can hire you as recruiting co-ordinator and then we can battle vandy and Kentucky for the leftovers. How the heck do you know it will take this kid 2-3 years at Bama and 1yr at Stump trained U? Here let me answer my own question YOU DON'T. Durden guess what these kids read this crap and unless you coached this kid your "evaluation" is way off base and uncalled for. Ya think Saban would appreciate your evaluation about a kid that he has been working on for almost 2 years? I know Cheezdip does.

Posts denegrating a recruits abilities does make one wonder about that posters alligence.
Sometimes Bama fans make it hard on our coaches convincing kids that they have what they want at Bama.

It is all speculation since no message board poster knows when a kid will see the playing field.

Sorry hack but it would be 2 years in the db area. He wouldn't play next year and red shirt behind Mark Barron ,Lester , Green, and Will Lowery. Then there is Jarrick williams Nick perry Ha ha. Where ever he plays he will have to work his butt off to get on the field and he will be on the field somewhere. He is a great talent.

Also a little clarification for the Barners and anyone else not clear on the NLI. Yes if BC signs one tommorow he has to have a guardian's signature but the NLI is voluntary and no prospect is required to sign one. The NLI was set up so that a school would have to honor a one year agreement of financial aid and once he signs it no one else can recruit him or he can not attend a different university for one year. If he is dead set on going to the Barn he can refuse to sign the NLI at which point he can apply for admission to the Barn enroll in the fall and they can offer him a full ride then.

I'm not sure what he said that got you so upset. Its not unusual for a player to need 2 or 3 years, and honestly he may be a bit rusty from being stuck at Rb the past two seasons.
And if he does move to DB, which even BC said is entirely possible you could count on a learning curve that may take 2 years to get over.

Wow.... um sorry. I just go off of what I saw when I was at the Alabama/Mississippi All Star game and what I watched on the UAAA game. He's no where near what would be expected at the level of a collegiate LB and since he never played DB I 'guessed' idiotically in your opinion that it would take him 2-3 years to get ready. You mean kids don't read my posts to evaluate themselves? You mean these forums aren't here so we can evaluate and speculate and populate and mediate then what's going on. Boring

Jeff Lee, the clown from the Barn's Rivals site, is now conceding Calloway to 'Bama. This is the same guy who has been going on and on -- even now -- that Auburn will sign both La'El Collins and Cyrus, among others. And if this guy is selling his Calloway stock, well...

Anything can happen I guess, but for now I feel really confident on this one.

So do I.

What is the story on Jeff Lee? Im honestly flabbergasted by this guys predictions. Collins and Cyrus both to AU? Are you kidding me? Collins is possibly the most rock solid of any kid in the country. He sounds like a buffoon.

I don't think Collins signs with Alabama tomorrow. He's likely to go elsewhere for playing time opportunities IMO.
