Why do you think the barn would beat FSU?

im now pulling for a non SEC title game just to make sure the barn doesn't get the opportunity.

i just for the life of me cannot figure out why we tried the FG at the end instead of a hail mary. a decision that i would expect from Miles, but not from saban.

hail mary at least had a chance, and a much less likely return outcome, and in OT, at least we still had a chance.

oh well. i just opened a bottle of laphroig and my wonderful wife and i are enjoying a very tasty drink :)

I've got a bottle of ten year - might get into it soon myself.

It's indeed a shame that 11-1 and a BCS bowl is such a disappointment for us. I remember being excited about going to the Music City Bowl in 2004, excited about beating Iowa State in the Weedeater Bowl in 2001. Most likely we now head to the Orange Bowl, which would be a dream season anywhere else (or at Alabama in the early 2000's), but will anyone even want to make the trip?

I was perplexed by that and thought we might fake it. There was less than a 1% chance we were going to make it.

I am starting to believe our coaches either over think these offenses or our defense simply isn't designed to stop them and cannot be tweaked enough to do it. Certainly we stopped them enough to win this game, but the consecutive drives by Auburn at the end of the 1st and beginning of the 2nd half were killers. And they basically ran the same play all the way down the field.

I'm disappointed the ball wasn't put in AJ's hands more on the last couple of possessions. If he's the best QB in the country, let him be.

That was such a strange game. Shoulda, woulda, coulda. Every time I felt like we had that game, the barn did what they needed to.

Roll Tide anyway, 11 wins is a great season. And the 12th win in a bowl will be sweet too. The barn wanted it and they took it tonight.

on both of those drives, i noticed over pursuit and poor tackling (of course, it is easy to see from the comfort of the couch ;) ). in both cases, we let them get into "hurry up" mode and get us back on our heels.

This whole game just seemed surreal to me. We never seemed in sync and made mistakes that were uncharacteristic for this team. I just thought we'd be better prepared but, hey, the sun will rise tomorrow, God willing and the creek don't rise!

Boom!!! And Jess nails it hard! Saban will be the one that needs to bite his tongue too and we know how well that goes.

I wonder if that's why the post game comments were posted and then quickly removed right after the game. At least for me...the page wouldn't load.
