To pump a little sunshine: He has completed 5 of his 7 career passes to fellow human beings, his first pass did end up being a TD and the fact that he's only been sacked once can't be anything but positive.
At times , there are some that seem to almost desire failure for Croyle .:conf2:
I don't think that's the case at all - I just think that many have a realistic view of his abilities. He has an amazing arm, and when he is 'on', watch out. But for every game we saw BC light it up, we saw three where he played rather pedastrian, or worse. At times , there are some that seem to almost desire failure for Croyle .:conf2:
I started a thread saying "Croyle will be the next Tom Brady" referring to him being a low draft pick who ends up an excellent quarterback back in 05'. Everyone laughed at me, we'll see.
Nice article. I'd really like to see Brodie become an NFL success story.
Truthfully, though, I'll be amazed if he's ever a full-time NFL starter. I guess I remember too vividly overthrown, wide open wide receivers, five yards behind the nearest defender, and floated swing passes in the backfield that went for losses when the defensive guy got there right when the ball did.
It'd suit me fine to be totally wrong!
Brodie's overthrows were pretty frustrating, but I think they were mainly the result of him just trying to get them launched before he got creamed. Probably throws your timing off when you can't set your feet and are off balance. I expect him to do better in the NFL unless the Chiefs hire Bob Connelly.![]()
We'll see. I wish Brodie well, but in his very brief appearances so far in the NFL he's looked rather horrid...

I'd LOVE to see him blossom in the NFL, but considering his hype/performance ratio at Bama, I'll just wait and see...
Here's Peyton's first year:Have you seen Peyton Manning in his first season?? he was horrible...

Def not great, but far, far, far better than BC's first season...
I suppose you would view it that way. I tend to think of it as a realistic view of his time at bama.Didn't you post the first "negative side" post?
I call the hype surrounding him before he came to and whil ehe was at Bama to be just that, yes.Brodie hyped? Really? Overcoming knee reconstruction, being sacked and hurried like no other QB I've seen at Alabama and still taking the team to a New Year's day bowl while the team was on probation his whole career. You call that hype?
Do you really have to resort to personal jabs to make your point?Did Brodie steal your girlfriend or something?
I rather like JPW. Not overly hyped before coming to Bama, played at a high level in HS, and he's come along and done a remarkable job in his first year, as a sophomore. Yes, even breaking many of the passing records BC set.I'd hate to see what you have to say about JPW.
