Question: Bama vs Arkansas kickoff time- 11:30 Raycom

Yes I was wondering if anyone might have a clue as what time the kickoff would be for the Bama/Arkansas game. I know Auburn and LSU plays that day I think and with them both being ranked in the top 10 would that mean ESPN would have first call of what game they want? Although Im sure the networks will wait and see what happens this week between Auburn/MSU. Anyway was just curious. Im making the trip to Fayetteville and would love a 6:30pm game. Just call me greedy...RTR

I don't have a clue, but I do have a good educated guess. You can bank on ESPN being at au. So, unless ESPN2 picks it up, it will be Raycom at 11:30.

If not for Arkansas' two straight 4th quarter heroics, that game was headed for p-p-v lol.

It could change but , .....

CBS has supposedly scheduled Fl/Tn for 2:30 .

ESPN has lsu/barn @ 6:45 .

ESPN-2 still has a slot open for 6:00 .


Looks like ESPN-2 @ 6 or the 11:30 regional slot .

I'm hopeful but I don't know if it will happen or not. Arkansas beat ULM and W Illinois by a combined five points with last second scores. And with the beating Texas will most likely administer to them we can only hope to take care of W Kentucky and pray that our near top ten ranking and loyal fan base can make a strong enough case to get that spot.

I'll never understand why CBS continues to stick with the fl - ut game. Neither of those teams have been good in the same year in probably the last 6-8 seasons. Overrated or not the barn is right now a top 10 team as is LSU. Those guys have been deciding the SEC West for over five years now. :conf2:

I was kind of hoping for the Raycom game. When playing on the road in the SEC it's probably better to play as early as possible. The crowd won't be nearly as loud and obnoxious at 11:30 am.

I agree. It's bad for the fans travelling to the game from Bmam, but I think the home crowd is less likey to be really loud.

That means 10:30am for me... oh well, get the kids outta bed, change a diaper, fix bowls of cereal, put on Dora the explorer in the kids room, grab a glass of juice, and watch some football!!

At least I can get the rest of the afternoon to go chase some browns on the Blackfoot with a fly before coming back in and catching more games...

Gotta love good football and good fly fishing on the same day!

Well, there are other interesting games that afternoon. BTW, do you ever drag out any Brookies or Rainbows, or is it all Browns?

When I looked at the other games, this game had Raycom written all over it. Luckily, my local affilliate for Raycom games has just switched to HD finally. At least they did for the 2nd half of Auburn/Southern Miss. If it's in SD like usual, I will be ....ed

I also get the bows and brookies, the brookies are small in the streams here, if you get a 12incher, take a pic. The rainbows and browns however, come in man size packages. I like the browns because they are finnicky, but when they hit, it is on!

Its hard in the fall because I have weekends off work, and I have to choose between the good games and good fishing.

I have been lucky enough to land some nice fish on the fly- some 20+, but by far for me the best is a nice June day, caddis flys, and 15-20" cut throats coming up smacking the water. Browns are the hardest fighters when spawning, but the cut throat is the most visually stimulating fish to land due to all the jumping and rolling on the surface.

HSV, if you ever get out this way, let me know, I will arrange a float trip on one of the rivers for a day of bows, browns, brooks, and great football conversation:)!

1st post ever...long time reader. I live in Dallas and do not get the Lincoln Financial or Raycom or whatever it is here....does ESPN gameplan pick it up? Thanks!!
