****Bama vs. AU - Post Game Thread****

Yes. For some reason Ohio State worries me more than FSU. I hope we win our next game, and that FSU wins theirs and we're seeded 2 and 3. Would prefer Bama have to play OSU if that's how it turns out.
Why don't you just go away?

So after the INT from Perry, we held Auburn to a 3 n out for -3 yards. Then a turnover on downs.

Lastly was a garbage TD. Once again..thank you Nick Perry.

I don't think so. We only had two punts with a gross average of 55.5 yards and a net average of 45.5 yards. Both were in the first half. Outside the INT it was a dominating performance in the second half.

Thanks, you are right. I just looked at the box score. Our offense in the second half was fantastic.

We've got a few goofballs over there. I'ma share that tweet.
While you're on ITAT, advise them that there is no "no contact after five yards downfield" in college ball. That's a NFL rule. There can be contact, hand-fighting, etc., in NCAA ball until the ball leaves the passer's hands...

One final thought before I turn in. I doubt I sleep much. I'm pretty pumped right now.

One thing this team proved tonight which I don't think many of the "national pundits" believed was possible by this team prior to tonight. I think most of them felt that if Bama had game where the defense was just plain off or not playing well, they couldn't win a game in a "shootout".

While I hope this doesn't happen again this season as my 54 year old heart couldn't stand it, this team showed it has as much offense punch as any team in the country. If we have to let "the horses run", we certainly can.

Good Post. BTW, I wish I had my 54 yr old heart, rather than my 75 year old pump... :D

A big difference tonight was that the refs seemed to control the pace much more than last year. Also no schoolyard linemen downfield 7 yards and then pull up for a pass.

Lawdhamercy!! This game 'bout killed me. At first I was hoping for a good old fashioned butt whuppin' with a score of about 63-0, but knowing some barn fans the way I do, I think letting them get their hopes up and then stomping on them like a bug was so much sweeter.

One question about coaches...I thought they had to stay in the white area. (Isn't it called the coaches' box?) Early in the game, Malzhan was out ON the field DURING their plays. Not just a step or two, but pretty close to half way to the numbers, and prior to, during, mane after the snap. Finally the side judge motioned for him to back up, and from that point on, he stayed pretty much in the white area, but he did creep out just into the field of play. I see Scott Cochran grabbing our coaches by their waste bands and pulling them off the field. What Malzhan was doing may not have been a big deal, but it really irritated me.

Seeing the reviews of the interception that wasn't for Sylve and evidently the rule is the player that touches the ground first when both players are in the air is awarded the ball. It should have been called an INT. Blown call that could have cost is the game. This is opinion of Mike Pereira among others.

Would someone tell me if the opening kickoff by us was a designed play or did Adam get hurt. I never heard what happened. I don't believe he came back, except for an extra point in the first quarter.

It's nice to be able to crush their dreams for a change; no chance to play spoiler and no chance for back-to-back 10 win seasons. While CNS sets another record for consecutive 11 win seasons. Plus it is the barn.
Sweet, sweet, sweet.
Now for the Tiguh Trifecta - maybe chance to set another "record", I don't think anyone in the SEC has beaten these three Tiguhs in the same season (yet).
