Agree, I just think he feels he doesn't see the toughness and grit in the program he once did.Different era now. So much is different than before.

The path is different now for these guys. High school guys get money now, there’s no reason to bust it to get to the next level. All motivation for this must be internal, and there’s not a lot of adults who have that, much less college level kids.Agree, I just think he feels he doesn't see the toughness and grit in the program he once did.
I think Ty’s injury has made it a little worse than it should be.This. Next year (IMO) we get to see what type of coach DeBoer is. In year 2 he had times of success and times of failures. What type of adjustments is he going to make, if any? Personally, if hes going to stay employed at Alabama hes going to have to tweak his philosophy. Not overhaul it, just tweak it.
He's definitely done enough to be given a chance to adjust and fix things that hurt us this season. Next season should be interesting.

I agree but I'm hoping CKD will exercise his head coach authority and demand a change or make a change. My one concern, and I have no inside knowledge, is that Grubbs may be very... Stubborn.
It seems like Grubbs hears or reads all the criticism about what we’re bad at, then tries to prove the naysayers wrong and it ends up making our offense even worse. Instead of calling plays to our strengths (which are already limited), he tries to force us into being a running team, and that’s just not what Bama is.My one concern, and I have no inside knowledge, is that Grubbs may be very... Saban had that clip leading up to the SECCG about Ty moving around so much to change the play that it gives the Def a chance to change their play ... and we did that very thing on the first play from scrimmageIt seems like Grubbs hears or reads all the criticism about what we’re bad at, then tries to prove the naysayers wrong and it ends up making our offense even worse. AI generated, but used espn as a reference. It’s almost even in attempts. I’m not sure if this has sack yardage or not, but his overall playcalling is about 60/40 pass ( I moved it further because I think the blowouts skew it a little more to the 50/50).
I think if he would quit with the circus plays that stall drives it would be a lot different.
I think he will learn that on the East side of the Mississippi the best cornerback actually plays corner, and is not the second string receiver. Defense is a priority over here.
