Bama vs Oklahoma round 2 (Friday December 19th)

Everything I have seen points to a sore back but nothing substantial. Ty's biggest problem right now is that he is beat up and has less confidence due to being mauled a few times in the backfield. Staff needs to come up with something to keep opposing D on its heals and not running downhill at our QB.
Having Jam back there blocking is so huge…Reliability and comfort w/Cuevas…those two alone will help Ty’s head…and that’s where it all starts!!!

Look up the stats. We beat them everywhere but the scoreboard. Albeit that's all that matters, but the point is our offense looked pretty good against them and their vaunted D.
I feel the same way. The only 2 things that give me pause; they’ve had longer to rest and prepare, just like the first matchup, and they’ll likely have a better game plan the second time around, similar to Georgia.

I’ve seen so much info re Ty’s injury…any idea of truth?
There is tv footage of them putting one of those shock units (tinge?) the size of a car floor mat on him during a game. I don’t think that’s normal.

Plus his throws have been rough lately. I don’t mean the decisions, the throws are off because he’s compensating with his arm.

I do not understand this mindset at all. So you are saying that you aren't going to watch a playoff game because we aren't playing well on offense right now? What is the point of watching any game if you are only going to watch the games that you know we we will. Seems like a very frontrunning mentality. To each his own, I guess.
Our team is decimated by injuries, and our quarterback has PTSD because our OL is horrible. We aren’t the same team that beat UGA on the road.

I think we can win this game but I don’t think we will. This ok team is mid and an easy takedown for anyone with a pulse on offense. However our o is broken so it’s gonna be a slog. If we do win I will NOT make the same mistake of going to the rose bowl again like sabans last game. Trust me when I say that is not a stadium you want to lose in. You’re trapped in the stadium for an hour after the game then Pasadena for another 1.5 hours. An absolute nightmare

I think we should and will win this game. I believe Oklahoma is more one dimensional than us, especially with us getting some rest and healed up. If we just can play clean football and not commit turnovers and special teams mistakes, then we should win by 10+. I think our offense can do enough to score 24 and I don't see them scoring more than 13-14 on our defense assuming we don't give them short fields.

Plus...their QB just won the Heisman. Heisman winners typically have a poor game after winning the award. 🤷‍♂️

So that means you just aren't going to watch? That is 100% front-runner mentality. That is what I don't understand. I understand that we are decimated by injuries and the offense isn't clicking. We win the next two and I guarantee you will be back in front of the TV for the semis.

I want to agree with everything you say but I just won't believe it until I see it. This team embarrassed us in Norman last year, came to us this year and walked out of Bryant Denny with the W. We shall see but the sooners just have our number at the moment.

TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) unit is a small device that uses low-voltage electrical currents delivered through electrodes placed on the skin to provide pain relief by blocking pain signals to the brain or stimulating the body's release of natural painkillers (endorphins). It works by sending gentle impulses along nerves, essentially "scrambling" or overwhelming the pain signals with sensory input, offering relief for conditions like chronic back pain, arthritis, and nerve pain.

I like this...keep Ty from overthinking it!

I mean, try it to see if it works. If it does, score points in bunches...if it doesn't go back to playing slow.
The College Football Nerds maintain that if we ran tempo all game we'd be scoring 35-40 ppg. I don't know if I fullynagree with that, but the offense does seem to be a bit better when we do.

When you know they are going to lose not watching the loss for your own sanity and blood pressure is ok. I've been a Bama fan my whole life, but I've learned it's best for me to not watch some games. I get to into it and get frustrated to the point it's not good. If that's your situation then stepping back and having some perspective is reasonable. This is especially true with DVR being so easy. You can always watch later. It doesn't make you less of a fan. It just means you know yourself.

I would have a nervous breakdown with what he's dealt with. He has no idea where the hit is coming from because he has no idea which rusher will be unblocked or just run right around the block and blow out both his knees.

The OL has not been as bad as you are implying. Prior to the AU game Alabama was the 5th best team in the SEC in “sacks allowed per pass attempt”. (It’s probably worse now since the AU and UGA games have been played since I last checked.) And that’s having played most of the best pass rushing teams in the SEC: Mizz, USC, OU, AU. Most QBs are under pressure in the SEC.

This OL made the next to the last cut for the Joe Moore Best OL in the country award. They study much film and stats.

To your point, no doubt Ty has been under fire and is beat up like others, but most here unfairly critique the OL, IMO.
