An awful way to end such a competitive game with a bunch of cheap points for Florida. The committee will probably just look at the bottom line and see that Florida almost covered the spread.

The one thing the team can get confidence about is the possibility of facing them again deep in the SEC tourney on a neutral court with a officiating that is at least within the realm of even. I believe today the team proved to themselves, as long as they maintain it, is that is exactly where they belong.

We really were the better team today by far I think. They just got handed about 14 points.

I give up... We got jobbed on the calls today, and will continue to get jobbed against OM. We are not being given a chance to win some of these games, and I hate it. I would like someone to look up the stats on how much one sided fouls have been against us...

Bama finished with 4 made freethrows while the Gators finished with 22.
Bama had 22 fouls compared to the Gators 9.
Stinks!

Who did Anthony Grant .... off? Can't get a call on the road no matter what and Jimmy Dykes refuses to criticize the officials ever.

This is some Pravda nonsense right here, y'all.

Still had some of the usual slumps with the half-court offense. Hopefully Bama will play this way at Ole Miss on Tuesday but avoid a scoring slump. I don't know what to expect with the ref's at the Tad Pad. I wish Gueye could stay out of foul trouble (it would help if he didn't get at least 2 bogus calls by the ref's in every game).

As great as college basketball is, the deplorable way in which it is reffed almost makes it unwatchable. I can't think of another sport on any level that is consistently as bad.

Not a huge hockey fan by any stretch, but their sport moves even faster than bball. How about taking the skates of a few of them and see if it gets better...

We shot 40% from the line and and 27% from three. You don't beat good teams on the road with shooting like that.

The truth is, we're better off not going to the line. When you can't shoot as well from the free throw line as a typical high school team, you don't want to be there. Better to shoot from the field than miss the front end of a one and one.

Actually, it was so bad today, HE even got in on our side. He even blatantly stated one no-call on UF was a foul midway through the second.

Yes, Bama looked just as good as Florida. Makes the whole season a little more frustrating but can still make something of it and have something to look forward to next season.

Are you serious? Releford, Obasahon and Lacey are all solid free-throw shooters and the others are decent - Moose being the biggest exception.

We were in a position to win when UF went on that run which was aided in great part by the officiating.

Yes, we hurt ourselves with lousy FT shooting. The bigger problem is the home team gets too many chances. Add in the 2 cheapies, Gueye seems to get, every game, it effects who is in the game, and when.

I'm not sure what you're talking about. We shot 40% from the line. That's awful and my point is that when you're shooting that bad from the line you'd rather take your chances from the field.

I'm on a kinda-sorta Twitter break during Lent - sounds like our state media is, as usual, lining up to support the officials because you can never, ever blame a loss of lousy officiating. Because officials are all hardworking Boy Scouts who never make mistakes.
