Bautista throws no hitter

[Nash-Bama]

Melissa Bautista threw a no hitter in the Crimson Tide's first game at the Texas A&M tournament yesterday against Texas A&M Corpus Christi. Here is a link to the story:

The Tide also won their second game against Texas A&M 2-1 giving them a 7-0 start to the season. They will be back in action today at 1:15 and 3:30 against Corpus Christi again and Penn State.

Wow. Great job Bautista! I really want to see these girls play one weekend. I hope thet play here in Auburn this year (I think they do). If not, maybe they play A-Day weekend. RTR!

Big Al,

They play Auburn in Tuscaloosa this year but they will be playing Ole Miss at home during the A-Day weekend (April 14-15). They play on Saturday at 1:00 which is a doubleheader and on Sunday at 1:00 which is only a single game. I hope they change the game time to later on Saturday because I think that will conflict with the football game. They play Auburn on April 18 and 19. Try to go see them play. I guarantee you will be impressed. I am a big baseball fan but I now really prefer to watch fastpitch softball.

Maybe they can start the DH at about 4 or 5 pm on A-Day. That way we can pack the stadium after the football game.

Wouldn't that be great? I really hope they can move the time until after the football game. But since that is usually only about an hour, there still should be plenty of softball left to see even if they don't change it. That is also Ginger Jones Day and it would be wonderful to see the stadium packed for her.
