I'm coming down from Canada for the Arkansas game and the ticketsI received have me concerend that I may be under a over-hang. Hopefully someone knows the stadium well enough to answer my question. We're in section D...row 57. I don't care about the height whatsover...I'm more concerned about being under a overhang, anyone know?
I went to see Bama @ Tenn. a few years ago and ended up under an overhang at Neyland stadium and it was aweful.
Hope someone can help.

Those overhangs can be pretty nice. In the biggest rainstorm I ever saw in BDS, we were lucky enough to have a friend's tickets under the overhang. People three rows in front of us were getting soaked... :D

Overhangs at BD are awful. If it rains you stay dry. In blazing sun and heat you are in shade. I feel your angst.

Was that Arkansas in 2003 by chance? I think that was the year of the down pour during the Arky game. Or was it the lightening game against Ole Siss? Those were the two worst I've been through in BDS.

I was swimming in the student section, then. Wasn't about to give up my seat.

Ditto. I had a white undershirt on under my red coaches' shirt. After the game I noticed my undershirt was changed into red/pink. IIRC...it was quite hot and humid following the deluge. Then we blew a lead at the end and lost.

I believe the Hogs. I don't remember there being much lightning, just a real gully-washer...

Yes, that was it. I was in a situation much like yours as we had seats a few rows back under the edge of the over hang. We were back just far enough that we only caught a little mist a few times when the wind blew the hardest. I was amazed at the way the stadium and the field drained off.

As bigyowski said we blew a lead in that game, I think in double overtime even. Typical Shula outcome.

The lightening Ole Siss game I was refering to was in 95 during the east side upper deck construction. The lightening was unbelievable and I'm not sure it didn't strike one of the cranes.
