Best Bowl Games That Were Never Played

Got to thinking what if certain bowl matchups could have happened? My vote would be for the 1966 Bama team against the Notre Dame team that won the National Championship after tying Michigan State and electing not to go to a bowl. Any other thoughts on this?

LSU vs Oklahoma...THIS YEAR

I'm sure there's MANY MANY more but those are some of recent memory that I think would have been the top two teams in the country from those years.

alabama vs notre dame 1977 season( 78 bowl game) would have been a plus one, otherwise #2 Alabama vs #1 texas, Taken care of two things there!

There have been so many should have been games over the years, to many to list.

1977 Oklahoma/Alabama Orange/Sugar ??
1978 Oklahoma/Alabama Orange/Sugar ??

If these had been played, we would definitively know which of these two programs was truly the best of that decade. My guess is one would have prevailed in two of the three and the issue would have been settled.
