something is seriously wrong with Acuna. can't hit right now and even if he gets on base by some miracle, he is getting picked off at first. 3 times in a row now. twice yesterday.

He’s his own worst enemy imo and gets into his own head and starts pressing.
I don’t really remember him being so bad on the bases but he gets himself in slumps at the plate.
If he would just focus on making good contact all the time he’d get out of it.
But he always seems like he’s trying to hit a 450 Ft Homer.
Plus if other guys on the team are hot and going yard he presses even more trying to match them.
I don’t know what you do to help him.
Hopefully he’ll have a few good days soon and get out of it.
The pick-offs, he's been so slow to react to the pitcher's moves (not like these are world beaters when it comes to pick-off moves) and he is just late to react. He doesn't need the big leads with his speed and he doesn't have to steal every single time he is on base. I didn't like his pre-season talk, about breaking his own records from last year. Why put that pressure on yourself? Don't worry about records, just play.
Also, he does get a little lazy at times. There was a double play last week, I forget which game, where the 2B or SS bobbled the ball but, Acuna was doing his slow trot to first instead of running it out. He probably would have beaten the throw but nope, he decided he was out before the play started. There was also a double a week or 2 ago where he stared at it thinking it was a HR and the play at 2B was closer then it should have been. There have been a few times in the last few weeks where he didn't look like he was chasing down balls in the OF as fast as we know he can.
Honestly, maybe move him somewhere else in the lineup and see if that can jump start him. Maybe flip him and Albies or even Olson. Olson could use a kick start as well.

It feels like Ozuna is the only one hitting and then I look up the stats and we are 5th in MLB in AVG.

If you watch Acuna’s body language you can see something is not right with him. Who knows if he is down on himself or something is wrong in his personal life. This Braves team could be awesome if all the pieces come together (which hasn’t happened so far this year).
I've been a fan of moving him out of the leadoff spot a bunch of times in the past.
He has the ability to be in the #1 Slot but not when he's trying to hit like he's somewhere in the 3-5 slots.
Jmo but if you want to leadoff you better put emphasis on getting on base.
He's one of my favorite players but he also infuriates me at times.
I would put Albies in the lead off.

Albies is probably our best “lead off” type of player. Good speed on the bases and will take what the pitcher gives him to just put it in play.
Acuña is already 0-2 tonight and Albies is 1-1 with a run scored.

Braves are killing the cubs. Olson has seemingly gotten it together. The Braves might be better off having me hit for Acuna.

FIFY. Cubs have been hammered by injuries. Not making excuses, just stating facts. Suffice to say Braves caught the Cubs at the right time.
With that said, Cubs I am not asking for a win on Wednesday, all I am asking for is a run. One run, that's all.
