In the contemporary rush to name and rename things, we often forget - and many times discard - the memory of those who established the excellence that got us to where we got (Bama or otherwise). History matters.
Did people say the same thing when "Bryant" was added to the name? Saban will be a part of that history that matters, he deserves to have his name added to the stadium. Our history has already set the precedent that this kind of greatness gets your name added.

I'd much rather it be Bryant-Denny-Saban Stadium instead of the Saban Field @ BDS route. I agree with @selmaborntidefan, I generally dislike the "Field @ Stadium" names. Although, in this day and age of corporate greed, it is sometimes the only way to honor someone since the corporation demand their name on things (This is why I would support the Braves renaming theirs to Hank Aaron Field at Truist Park).

I just can't see renaming the stadium to something as cumbersome as Bryant Denny Saban Stadium, etc.. Taking a current, long‐revered name off isn't a great option, either. I hope and trust that the powers-that-be will come up with better options.

Personally, I think Saban Field would be perfectly suitable.

I can wait for a name change because he has plenty of work still to do. Starting with this season and others to come to the chagrin of the rest of college football 🏈 LOL 😂

This is why we can't take Denny off the name.

There is no Alabama football without George Denny.
I AGREE.

If anyone has not read Mike Denny: The Shadow of a Single Man by Delbert Reed, take time to do it to know how important he was in the history of the University of Alabama and Alabama Crimson Tide football.

I just don't think that is good enough. We have a coach that has matched and, arguably, surpassed Bryant. The dominance that Bama has seen over Saban's tenure is more than the dominance during Bryant's tenure. Will Saban match Bryant's overall wins? Maybe, if he coaches long enough. He's already surpassed Bryant's bowl wins and national titles. Saban is every bit as good as Bryant, better in many people's eyes. History will look back on this time period in awe and wonder how this coach was able to dominate for so long in this age of modern college football. It is unprecedented.

If Bryant's achievements were great enough to add his name to the stadium, which happened before he retired, then Saban's should be a slam dunk. The precedent was set back in 1975 that this kind of greatness gets you name on the stadium.

Renaming a street, park or other area just doesn't seem like enough. I mean, Bryant has the stadium, a street, a conference center and a Museum (probably even more that I'm unaware of). Eventually, Saban deserves the same kind of honors IMO.

Bryant-Denny-Saban Stadium gets my vote.
University Blvd becomes Nick Saban Blvd.
Dare I suggest, the Paul W. Bryant Museum becomes the Paul Bryant & Nick Saban Museum of Dominance and Greatness.
