Game Thread: BSU @ Toldeo

Well, the season looked much brighter before Knile Davis went down. But we're still excited about Tyler Wilson at QB and our WR depth. We kept our stable from last year and have added a few more young 'uns to the fold.

We're going to miss DJ Williams (TE), but we've got a couple in that spot that should do well.

Not many are giving us a chance to repeat last year's success because of our two tough road trips to T-Town and Baton Rouge.
Yah, I hope we see a similar game plan as we had against you guys in 2009 - pressure Wilson and force him to win the game with his arm. I think if we get to him (not sacks, necessarily, but pressure) early we can control the game better.

First big test for us. Same with you guys.

Ugh, 2009. You guys absolutely killed us. We still have several players on our team that played in that game.

I'm ready for the cupcake games to be done so we can get to some big-boy football and really see who's who.

Ha! But they're all grown up now. Bigger, stronger and wiser. AND, they have that experience of already playing in Bryant-Denny in front of 100,000 and can help guide the rest. I don't think they'll be as scared or get rattled this time.
DANGIT!

We're smaller, weaker and more foolish. Curses!

hehe

BS-u padding the numbers with 1:30 left in the game and up by 18 points. Now 40-15. Trying to look legit, but anyone who saw this game will know they're bigger pretenders than ever.

Another reason Kellon shouldn't be a Heisman candidate. Padding his stats against teams like Toledo.

I still don't believe their athletes match up against the big boys. No matter what crap ESPN tries to feed.

You mean the same Toledo that big bad Ohio State barely escaped at home?

Seemed to match up pretty well against Georgia and their highly touted recruits.

Yep, that Toledo, the one that is 1-2 and almost sold out their 26,248 seat stadium against Boise St. We get 4 times that to our spring practice game for comparison. And yes, they beat an 0-2 SEC team ... once. That's right ... they baad ...

I expect to see ESPN drop Boise like a drunk porcupine about 5 minutes after they get their playoff system TV contract locked down. ESPN knows better than anyone the marketing value of a team that hails from the heart of ...um ... Idaho. ESPN is in the television business if you haven't heard. As soon as they can gain control of the TV market for the playoffs, anyone outside of the four mega conferences will cease to exist in Bristol, CT. Then we'll be right back to the same old teams that compete with measurable schedules year after year, building their reputations on proven performance rather than on the ability to get up for one or two games each year, punctuated by a series of scrimmages with the Washington Generals. Just my opinion but I really can't imagine BS winning ten games consistently if they were playing in any major conference ... (caveat ...other than the Big 12) Maybe Baylor can start a campaign to replace TAMU with Boise Skate ... (great name ... Thanks Hog!)
