What’s Going To Happen

You think Alabama is going to flinch for an instant when Texas connects on a 78-yard touchdown pass?

Yes, Texas will have its moments that will meltdown social media and make Gus Johnson take his game up a few octaves, but Bama will keep on coming. Texas will connect on a few big plays. Alabama will connect on all the little ones, and for a full 60 minutes.

It’ll keep Robinson bottled up, the running game will take over in the third quarter, and Bryce Young will come up with an ultra-efficient, workmanlike performance with two excellent scoring marches in the second half to end any dreams of this being when Texas becomes Texas again.

I'm surprised CFN came out with the prediction this early since they usually like to take all week to mull over the more notable matchups. They must be very confident at least about who will win.

I will take a huge win, but really just a win by a few points if it means NO INJURIES. RTR

Isn't the game on artificial turf? Hopefully the players don't get hurt celebrating or playing.

I wasn’t concerned about the weather when it was brought up in April or so. But now I have some concern. My main concern is the weather in the Southeast. It was really hot in June but in July, August it’s been cloudy, rainy with highs in the upper 80s low 90s. Im not sure it’s been brutally hot in the Southeast like most years. I hope the players are acclimated to the heat. Saturday it will be around 90 at kick and 95 in the fourth quarter. FADFF7A9-8DF5-4E88-B0DE-407A03A9D947.png

I'd be more worried about the humidity.

They’ve had FieldTurf there since 2009. We have it on the Hank Crisp practice field. Kentucky, Vandy, and Ole Miss have it on their playing fields.
Yes, I guess I stated it poorly. They did go back to artificial turf in 2009 but they've replaced the surface a few times since then with the most recent FieldTurf replacement done last year.
