Michigan fans sing this song all day, every day. They say it about any team/school that wins more than them. But their wins - totally clean. It is comical.
Or “ well, it didn’t make any difference!”

So they’re telling me that they did that level of cheating for something that wouldn’t make a difference….. which is actually dumber than doing it trying to gain an edge.

Where ever there's BBQ, Bourbon & Football
If anyone has been following social media, Alabama, the only team that ever paid players prior to 2021, will never again win a national championship because they don’t have enough money to pay players.

College football fans have more CTE than those who actually play the game.
A lot of the fans who live on social media can barely fog a mirror.

Watched the majority of the game.

What's the board's take?

Bought and paid for?

A "two off" with UM and TOSO two years in a row?

NCAA/NIL doing its thing at parity and B1G is just handling it better?

Well Mich won because they cheated.

tOSU won because they built their team better than anyone else did and coached them up.

I'm not sure there is a bigger meaning than that.

The B1G and the SEC seem to be the best conferences and both had several good teams this year relative to the rest of CFB as a whole.

The ACC and Big12 were both Top heavy with a couple of good teams at the top and the rest of the teams were mediocre to bad.

But CFB has never been more unpredictable and unless guardrails are put up wrt the Portal and NIL there will continue to be wild swings year to year on which teams are the best because they either spent the most and guessed right on who they bought or who maybe didn't spend the most but nailed which addictions they added.. or even which bad players they off loaded.

tOSU obviously spent a lot but even more than that they got their choices of who to add right.

Michigan won because of Milroe in 2023 & 2024. The rest I agree with.

thought this was interesting as the comments and answers are pretty much in line with how this board sees it

Honestly, I think the Committee is going to have to relook their seeding criteria.
Byes for conference champions is a dumb idea, especially when a Clemson wins the ACC.
"Not holding the conference championship game loss against the runners-up" is also dumb. If a 12-0 team playes an 8-4 team in the conference championship game, and the 8-4 team wins somehow, that does not mean the 8-4 teams should be in and get a first-round bye. That's dumb.
The committee should probably just rank NCAA Div 1A teams 1-25, and include 1-12 i the playoffs, whether they win the championship game or not. Yeah, take the win (or loss) into account, but do not automatically seed conference championship game winners anywhere. Just rank the teams. 1-4 seeds get a bye wherever they are from and whether the won the conference championship game or not, 5 plays 12, 6 plays 11, 7 plays 10, etc.
And for the regular season, the committee should pay close attention to strength of schedule. being 12-0 and playing the 120th strongest schedule means little (unless we want games like Clemson-Georgia or Ohio State-Texas to disappear from the regular season; if we want to see 12 weeks of Bama vs UT Martin and Ohio State vs Ball State, then go ahead and ignore strength of schedule)

When I am Planetary Commander (hope you'll vote for me!) that what I will do.

I would hope as Planetary Commander you would take the following actions Day One of your long and peaceful reign:

1. Ban any team named 'Fighting Irish", and/or all teams from South Bend IN from football.
2. Ban all teams with orange as the primary non-white team color.
3. Ban ESPN from televising games for failure to <insert anything at all here, such as having dirty toilets>.
