Well that's what I meant. There is simply way too much time between the games.Byes aren’t the problem. The layoff between them is.

I have to say, this result surprised me.
Wasn't Miami getting 9.5 in the spread?
You’re right. It was the older brother Luke.Wasn't it their older brother Luke who was hired by Dykes at TCU and not their father? Their dad is Blake Brockermeyer, who played at UT Austin and in the pros for a number of years, and their brother Luke also played at UT. I believe Dykes cut loose of Luke after James transferred to Miami.

What they REALLY need to get rid of is the conference championship games. That weekend should be the real bye and then the playoffs start the next week. The bowls are already dead, so I wouldn't care if they completely went away.Personally I’m for a bye because it’s a reward for a regular season. But it really needs to be campus game or something closer to the first round game so one team isn’t so hot and the other is so cold.

Especially considering in April he will be a top 10 first round draft pic and be set for life.Nothing wrong with being petty about these things.
it seemed like they had all the momentum going into the fourth quarter and couldn't finish the jobTOSU had just completed a long pass and seemed to be threatning and then the Miami DB had the pic 6.
I think that ONE play changed the dynamic. It was just too much for TOSU to overcome!
Here's hoping Bama DBs make the same kind of impact!!!
The big takeaway from the Cotton Bowl was that both teams ran the ball really well. It seemed both of them were getting 5 yard chunks almost every time there was a running play. In comparison to our running game where the RB may or may not even make it back to the LOS. I still believe our OL is, and will continue to be, our downfall until somehow it is miraculously fixed.
Well, it certainly has made Alabama a study in “ How far can a one dimensional offense take a team in the era of today’s “ college” football? “. As far as I know, the prevailing wisdom is still that sooner or later it’ll be a team’s downfall.
Yes, he transferred out after the spring Brailsford transferred in.wasnt Brockermeyer w Bama before?
Because that was perhaps a 10-14 point swing.it seemed like they had all the momentum going into the fourth quarter and couldn't finish the job
Not to be anti petty, but he does have a ring from last year. Not to be petty...but hey Downs..."how do you like them apples?"
kind of risk taking lsu db were famous forBecause that was perhaps a 10-14 point swing.
That's how big a NOT is in a game like this!
Lanning was talking up a schedule that would’ve had this wrapped up today, I think that’s a good start.Byes aren’t the problem. The layoff between them is.
