This game is what’s wrong with the 12 team playoff. Ohio State has no business playing for a championship. Oregon is likely to lose this game. It’ll still be fewer than any other team, and will have to watch from home. Meanwhile, they’ll be watching 2 teams they’ve already beaten.

What's wrong with the 12 team playoff is the teams were not seeded in order of quality. No, we had to give byes to weak conference champions. If the teams were seeded correctly, we wouldn't even be seeing this game until probably the semifinals. But, with the seeding this year, this game is now. They would probably meet eventually anyway, but so far Oregon is not near as good as their 13-0 record.
