Game Thread: Clemson vs Auburn

You're one of the most football knowledgeable women (heck, one of the most football knowledgeable people) I've seen post on the internet, but even then, the little "scheme" was so obvious you'd think they would have picked up on it.

thanks!
And you're right, it is fairly obvious which makes it puzzling to me why other teams DCs can't see it. Clemson didn't stop that play all game until McCaleb got hammered on it late in the 4th. MissSt never did stop it. It always nets big yards for them.

If Allbarn is the 15th best team in America, then the polls are extremely weak and voided of legitimate good teams. Auburn still can't win without luck part of the gameplan. Allbarn has good players, but ultimately they might be the worse undefeated team in America, right now. And I kind of wished Alabama was playing them this week, cause Bama would literally killed them.

For a team that said to have a creative offense, their O is still pretty much predictiable. I am still not impressed with Cam Newton this guy's only completions (or to me, it seems like) are only made to open reccievers. Ask him to make a tight throw and he can't make it.

I'm not surprise that Clemson didn't win, cause that's been their M.O. since 2000 or so, to choked when the spotlight is on. Now, I don't trust USCeast to win, because, of course they are also a Carolina team, but they are more talented and deeper then both AllBarn and Clemson and thus I think they have a shot to defeat Allbarn, or at the very least expose AllBarn for the frauds they are.

Let Allbarn fans continue to delude themselves into whatever they want about their team, but come Iron Bowl, they will lose to Alabama, cause despite all of Newton's "heroics", and gimmicky offense, they cannot play Alabama straight man-to-man football, and thus they are going to get running off the Bama train.

If Clemson had continued to run straight at them...like they did in the 1st quarter...this game would not have been close. But they quit doing what was working and let AU get back in the game in the 3rd quarter. Then with the injury to Parker and the mistakes Clemson made it was virtually impossible to get the momentum back. Yet, they still would've won if they had executed on just a couple of plays there at the end.

Tough loss for Clemson but I give AU props for fighting back and never giving up. I'm not surprised. I had a feeling the Tigers would win this one.

Hey, was there any truth that Auburn offered to split the production cost with ESPN Gameday for them going to their campus? I know Dabo Sweeney, when told that ESPN would be on campus, said "Must be slim pickens this week."
