CNS statue space started today!

Maybe he'll win enough NCs that we'll need to reduce the size of the text on his ring around the statue. :biggrin2:
Hopefully we can spring for some new sod. That looks horrible. Maybe we should look into field turf!
man it's a great place to be when all we have to nit pick on is the font of coaches letters on his statue spot!!!! :biggrin2:
But to answer your question, yes, the "K" does look a little different!!!! CNS needs to get on to whomever did that and show them that anything less than perfection is unacceptable!!!!!! :biggrin2:

There's not much you can do for the sod, after being trampled to death from viewing fans. The areas around the Stallings and Bryant space don't look to great during the season either.
Give UA a break!! We have become way too spoiled the last few years if we have to nitpick every blade of grass!
The circle is the beginning of a work in process. There will be installation of the statue and names of team members. The names of team members are also going to be on the other circles as well, I believe. Once this is done, I am sure they will address the grass issue.
If there is still a problem, perhaps pavers would be a good alternative.

I know I wasn't thinking that on that sad, grey November day in 2000. I was very mad that day.
That was a bad day indeed, but I think I will take what happened last year as an even trade.
I was close to the stadium & decided to take a closer look. I wish I had taken close up pictures. The K is taller than the other letters. There is more space between the I & C than the other letters. There is less space between the SABAN letters than in COACH. Whoever layed it out didn't do a very good job.
It's a bit worrisome that two versions of the statue have been sent back because the face and hair weren't satisfactory, and now, the size of the font - the simplest thing of all - is not right...
It's close enough to perfect for me. No one is going to look at the lettering in the back of that ring, everyone will be gazing at the statue.
I think this is the reason they had to take the statue back for improvements.
