Have McAfee shot out of a cannon wearing the helmet of the team he predicts will win.
Will ESPN bring him back for one last show?Every once in a while someone comes along at a position and earns the right to go out when they want to. Corso is one of those few - no one stopped watching GameDay because Corso was still on. I agree he's been ceremonial (at best) for several years now, but he earned the right to retire when he wanted, imo.
Enjoy your retirement, Coach.
It would seem like they are bringing him back for one last show. It says he is retiring in August. this tells me he will be on for an August show otherwise he would just be retired now. Will ESPN bring him back for one last show?
It seems like letting a senior and long-time starter come out for one last play in the 4th quarter of a blow-out win and then substituting the second stronger, so the fans can thank that senior player for playing well and for a long time. Nice gesture when coaches do that.
So ESPN should bring Corso back for one last show, letting everyoine know it will be his last show, and everyone can thank him for the memories.
Just saw that. August 30 will be his last show at the age of 90.It would seem like they are bringing him back for one last show. It says he is retiring in August. this tells me he will be on for an August show otherwise he would just be retired now.
Yes, that seems to be the case. One last show for Coach Corso. Classy move by ESPN.It would seem like they are bringing him back for one last show. It says he is retiring in August. this tells me he will be on for an August show otherwise he would just be retired now.
I was surprised to learn about how versatile he was as a player at FSU.My Mom and Dad were married in September 1956.
Going thru my Dad's things after he died, I found a newspaper in his filing cabinet from the weekend of their honeymoon in Panama City, FL. There was a story on the sports page about Florida State's game that weekend, and high praise for their star QB, Lee Corso.
