If I were LSU I would definitely be gauging interest though back channels with Lane Kiffin and Luke Fickell if I could.Matt Campbell’s appeal appears to have dimmed a bit.

Texas Tech has fired coach Matt Wells, source told The Athletic per Stewart Mandel.
Tater Tot's name being bandied around Lubbock yet? He's got two reasonably solid upsets the last two weeks for Louisiana-Monroe AND he's got the master's degree in sports management from Clemps ("Hi, I'm Terry, I'll be your intern"), which means should more Craig James' sons or grandsons come through town, he will be rather adroit at "being there for them," just not in dark, stultifying rooms...

Added to the opening post after I looked him up to see who the heck he is. Probably the last time I heard his name was when he was hired.

The last coach Tech fired is now the head coach of the only undefeated team in the NFL.

Manny was an overrated DC that fell upward into a head coaching job. When was the last time the idea of facing a “Manny Diaz coached defense” put fear into anyone?

This is same Manny Diaz that got canned early in the 2013 season by Mack Brown at Texas for his defense giving up over 500 yards rushing to BYU.

Then Manny put the final nail in his own coffin by taking over defense play calling responsibility this year for the Hurricanes.

The question is, when Miami cans him, who is going to take that job?
