Until recently UCLA has not been "all out" in their support of football. That may have changed in the last year or two, IDK. They are a public school vs USC being private, not sure how the state of Cal views football at this time or what their funding capabilities and intentions are. We know about Oregon and funding.
I was looking at it more from Oregon's point of view. There are plenty of coaches with better records than Kelly who will get out and burn up the roads recruiting.

Well the problem lies in LA. Everyone here acts like Oregon is the land of infinite money because of Phil Knight. Well they havent seen money like there is in LA. When either USC or UCLA get serious about football... Oregon is just a blip on the radar. Riley going to USC could spell a long time in 4th-5th in the Pac 12 for Oregon like they used to be.

Things have gotten real for Dabo. It will be interesting watching him try to rebuild after losing both his OC/DC in one year.
We’re going to find out what Dabo’s strengths are. Is he a CEO, or can he coach coaches on the technical level? I don’t think he can. But in a year, there will be no doubt as to whether that’s right or wrong.

Well, if "Awe Shucks" is really drawing interest from the NFL will he bail? I'm leaning toward a "Yes"
I don't see him as the NFL type...
Dabo would not fly in the NFL. The lack of technical skills, in combination with the rah-rah, cloaked in religion, will go over with 30-year-old urban men about like having Dana Carvey’s old SNL character, The Church Lady, as the HC.

I don’t know if Dabo can succeed at Clemson going forward or not. I would be flabbergasted if he succeeded in the NFL.

UCLA is not, never had been, and never will be, serious about football.

Chip Kelly, Dan Lanning, now I’m hearing Bryan Harsin is a candidate at Oregon. Sounds like the Oregon fanbase wasn’t pleased with the Lanning Report, and reported their displeasure. By Monday I may be a candidate , or maybe Earle??!

Saban continually has either not gotten the recognition for overcoming coordinator, assistant coaching turnover or, until maybe fairly recently, little at all. The more successful your program the more in demand your assistants are that is just natural. As I stated long ago, I am really interested in seeing how some of these teams handle, endure these and future coaching losses and can they maintain there status.

I especially want to see how Karen Aww Shucks handles it! Hell, this season was a bust for him even before losing his coordinators!

Starting to look like Urban Meyer will probably leave or be fired in Jacksonville. Lots of problems evidently going on there.
If we are talking one level up in this thread (NFL), would one level down be off topic? As a Thompson fan, I’m wondering what Josh Niblett’s departure from Hoover will set in motion…
