Any chance of an auxiliary thread, Coordinator Carousel 2023? DC Grinch out at USC, OCs Eeny Meany Miny Go Enos at Arky and Fishy Ferentz jr. at Iowa may be old news, but now Big Game James Franklin at State Penn has unloaded his sixth OC in 10 years as self-testimony to who’s really responsible for all them W’s in invisible ink on his laudatory career misery index. Sure to be more axing in the days and months ahead and some of ‘em who ain’t being cut loose might be pushing for a coordinator transfer portal the way it’s going for some of ‘em.

I see blue font, not sure what the joke is, but the Coaching Carousel threads cover all coaching changes, not just HCs.

Typically speaking, fewer people care about coordinator hires not at their school, but they've covered here.

I’m only listing FBS head coaching jobs in the OP. Anyone can feel free to list coordinator jobs or head jobs at FCS, D2, NAIA, etc.

Re-enter Brian Harsin.
If I’m the Boise AD I’d give him a call. In seven seasons he went 69-19 and 45-8 in conference. Won double digits five times. The years he didn’t he won nine and a 5-2 record in the COVID season. He was born and raised in Boise and is a Boise grad. I doubt he’d get the big head and decide to leave again and the barn experience probably hurt his marketability.

They could do a lot worse. As they clearly did with Avalos.

At this point I assume this is purely a rumor. I saw a blurb on MSN today that had to do with Arkansas possibly firing Sam Pittman. The article said that there was a group who "coveted Gus Malzahn" when he was at Auburn and when he flirted with Arkansas. Like I said I assume this is strictly a rumor.

I cannot imagine Gus Malzahn saying to himself:

"You know, my goal in life is to go back to the conference where I was basically a .500 coach in the conference after the first season and face that gauntlet PLUS Texas and Oklahoma from an even weaker position than I failed at previously."

I could only see Arkansas as a possibility for him because he's from there - but it's the same thing.

Gus isn't coming back to Arkansas. There is no interest between them.
