Pittman should have told the lil piggies to give him his full buyout when he was forced to hire Petrino. Petrino will get the permanent job. The AD threw Pittman under the bus today IMHO in his announcing Petrino as the interim.
So Petrino was the OC responsible for a team that score 16 points in the last 6 quarters (three in second of Memphis, and 13 against ND) and he has the audacity to fire three defensive coaches. Yeah, the defense looked terrible Saturday but Petrino hasn’t been lighting the scoreboard with his play calling.

Yep Yurachek was looking for a scapegoat, and Sam was it. I think Sam knew it was over after the Memphis game. It was just a matter of when.

I think Kane Womack has shown the ability to handle coaching in the SEC.

He’s young and has experience in the conference.
I don't totally disagree, but he HAS to adjust how he defends the run. We don't set the edge and give up way too many big runs through unattended gaps.

I do remember how things improved last year. He needs to do that again!!!

Petrino is such a scumbag, that he probably threw those games (OC Calls) to get Pittman fired...knowing that he would be the one named as Interim HC.

According to rumors circulating about Walmart, Arkansas is making a big commitment and offering Saban a 50% stake in the company in exchange for his acceptance as the Hogs' head coach.

I thought Pittman actually did a solid job there, considering the way that Chad Morris absolutely cratered the program. To take that team to 9-4 in his second season was one of the more impressive coaching feats I’ve seen, but they never had the same mojo once Kendall Briles and Barry Odom left.

Arkansas probably has plenty of money via the Walton and Jones connections, but they are facing an uphill battle in that even with the money, there are just more desirable locations to play in the SEC and Big 12, and the best players will still end up at those schools. Kind of the conundrum that Nebraska has been in for years now.

They’ll either promote Petrino, or hire an underwhelming mid-major coach. Lashlee, if he’s a legit target, is waiting for the Auburn job to eventually open up. Alex Golesh probably has his eyes on Florida, and Sumrall is headed to Kentucky if Stoops is let go. JMO.

If Lashlee has awbern as a "destination" job, he has very low goals... 😎
