Since we're ranked #3 in the preseason poll, I don't disagree. Ask me again after 5 games and we have a better idea about our team and QB situation. If Jalen Milroe is exactly the same as last year and hasn't progressed as much and he's going to be our starting QB for the entire season, then I am very worried about our offensive consistency. Sure, our running game could be alot better, but teams will just load the box to stop the run because they don't fear our passing game anymore.

why does every so called expert say our team is learning new schemes? There are no new schemes. The only thing changing is the play calling. I am not wrong here, right?
Because they do not know jack about Alabama. Any one of us on this board would school these scabs in a New York second. Opinions are like...well, you know.

There is definitely more uncertainty coming into this season than there has been in a while. But we're also one of the 2-3 most talented teams in the country.

Regardless, I am READY for the season to get here. I'm tired of all the talking. I just want to watch some football.
Georgia is the only one than can match our talent. OSU would be a distant runner up. We have the GOAT. I like our new coordinators and the direction they are taking us. Yea, bet against us at your peril.

To be fair, this video was clipped from their full podcast where they prefaced the video as “We are about to do a roast video for the top teams and might go overboard…”

These guys are actually really knowledgeable. I will say it annoys me how they say “Ebo-igg-bee”. Bro, it’s “E-boyg-bee”

I did not listen to this and I have no idea what they know, but I will say #3 seems high to me if I'm being objective about it. QB gone, replaced by youth and inexperience, top rusher gone, #3 and #4 receiver gone, 3 starting OL's and a couple backups gone, 8 starters on defense gone. Sure there are a lot of interesting possibilities amongst the young talent on this team that potentially could catapult them to #1 in the end. But even factoring in reputation, recruiting rankings, and the new DC clearly being an upgrade, on paper that still seems high to me. Also from a motivation standpoint, 6 would be better. But this team should not need any additional motivation.

OL is better in every way this year. RB is better as a group. DL returns all starters (every player on the line started multiple games). LB corp is more complete, DB’s are seasoned. I’m betting we are a more complete team than years past. Coach Steele runs Saban’s defense and has previously, so no real learning curve there. Offensively, we will be simpler. Run, then play action and use the run to open the pass. Also RPO is a big part of Tommy’s offense. All easy concepts and probably a win for us in the long run. It could be a long head, but I have a feeling we will be in the hunt.

Honestly, Bryce bailed BoB out so much. I shudder to think what would happen if Bryce had been a year older and had moved on to the NFL after his Heisman year. I do not think BoB is creative enough to find anything that would have worked with a RS Freshman Milroe and a TF Simpson. It probably would have been a disaster.
I'm sure BoB has positive qualities, but his ability to move on from Tuscaloosa might be my favorite.
