College Football Nerds video: Why Bama might be overrated in 2023

I get they do this with a lot of teams. But from what I've seen, this Alabama team has been underrated more than anything. While they are a young team, with many new starters, they do have ample experience and loads of talent. If there's a group that will make a huge difference this season, it will be the OL. They will help the run game be more effective and successful. But still think CNS wants a balanced offense.

Honestly, Bryce bailed BoB out so much. I shudder to think what would happen if Bryce had been a year older and had moved on to the NFL after his Heisman year. I do not think BoB is creative enough to find anything that would have worked with a RS Freshman Milroe and a TF Simpson. It probably would have been a disaster.
I'm sure BoB has positive qualities, but his ability to move on from Tuscaloosa might be my favorite.

Correct. Bryce was successful in spite of BoB, not because of him. You or I could have sat in the press box, hat on backwards, swilling Diet Coke, call a play and formation and said “Ok Bryce, make play”. And when Bryce got injured and had to sit, it quite nearly bit us in the rear. And that was because JM had not been developed in any way AND BoB refused to recognized that JM “wasn’t Bryce 2.0”.

They're both Bama fans and active on other site(s). They know more about Bama than they do any other team. It was a bit they did for every top team.

Yes, some folks can't handle criticism very well even when criticism is warranted. There are many reasons to look at us right now and think we're over-rated; however, as others have said, I'll take our roster with Saban at the helm against any other team right now. Roll Tide!
