College teams with the most players drafted in the last decade.

I think Miami has had the most first rounders in the last 3-4 years. About 15-20, if I'm not mistaken.

The draft following the MNC game Miami vs Ohio State, I think UM had either 7 or 8 first round picks. That's strong to have that many first rounders on one college team. And of course, they also had some picked in later rounds. That was a talented team.

The decade goes '95-'04 (didn't have to take my shoes off for that one ). If you drop off '94, that's one less NC for Nebraska, but you've still got all but one NC represented (USC, who I'd wager is #10-#12 on this list) from the last decade.

math never was my strong suit :biggrin: You also have two other NC's not represented - LSU in '03 and Oklahoma in '00.

Reminds me of a conversation alleged between Dr. Denny and Frank Thomas where Dr. Denny said something like this - I believe football is 90% talent and 10% coaching. I will provide you with the 90% and hold you strictly accountable for the 10%.

In this day of scholarship parity, there's some more premium on coaching, but you still gotta have talent.

I prefer to agree with Bum Phillips who said of Coach Bryant, "Bryant can take his and beat yours, and then he can turn around and take yours and beat his." Not to many around like Coach Bryant though, so yes, you gotta have talent.
